They drove in silence the rest of the way to the church. Neither of them was willing to discuss the mysterious events. Upon finally arriving outside the church, they rushed through the open door and made their way into the Bible study hallway. Pausing briefly before entering the room, ensuring their clothes were tucked neatly, Renwar and Baní quickly ran their hands through their hair.
Sure enough, the Mayor was smiling as they entered.
“Sorry we’re late,” Renwar said as he politely nodded to the rest of the group.
