The Revelations of Taina

1077 Words
Taina laughed as she walked through the door of the castle. Skylar and Sadie played right into her hands. She was now left alone with the original Elements, and they didn't have anyone to really protect them from her. Cassandra had been so naive in thinking that these originals would last forever.  Taina looked down at the body she carried in her arms. A gift before she killed them all. It was only fair that they all knew the truth. She took over Tabitha's life before the wedding ceremony to Dylan and then called it all off right before they could say 'I do.' You would have thought that they would have caught on. Cassandra didn't make them very smart, did she? Taina laughed louder as she entered the conference room where all the original were gathered.  "Eliza, darling, dear, don't look so shocked. You look like you have seen a ghost," Taina chuckled as she dropped Tabitha's body on the table. "Don't worry; she's still alive." Fredrick stood to reach for Tabitha, but Taina snatched her closer to herself so hard that you could hear a loud pop as her arm was dislocated.  "No one touches this child," Taina hissed. "It is time we had a little talk."  Eliza stiffened her shoulders and folded her hands in her lap, "What game are you playing, Taina? I knew something was off about you from the day of the wedding. I just couldn't figure out what it was. You wanted to be called Taina and never Tabitha. It is extraordinary how much the two of you look alike. I was there when she was born, so I know you aren't her twin. I am just not sure who, or rather, what you are."  Taina walked around the table while looking at each member, "You didn't even know I wasn't your precious Tabitha. You really thought that she would call off the wedding." Taina shook her head as she let out another chuckle, "She is still in love with Dylan. She wanted to be his fated mate. When she became of age and wasn't, she cried and cried. Only Dylan knew how heartbroken she was. He didn't want her as his mate. That meant that he would be stuck here forever. He hated it here. Dylan wanted to explore the world. Calling the wedding off fit into his plans but not poor Tabitha's."  Zach stood up slowly, "I know who you are, Taina. I have known all along. I didn't challenge you because I wasn't sure my beautiful Tabitha was safe. I don't know why you are here or what you want. But I do know who you are. Taina, the lost goddess, you were banished from your thrown of stars. You tried to overthrow all the gods and goddesses because you thought that there should be only one. You are so evil that you couldn't even rule the darkest corners of hell. I have studied about you for many years. I have even learned to keep you out of my mind. You were clueless because I let you hear what I wanted you to hear. How much I adore my beautiful Tabitha!" Zach looked around at the other members. "I am sorry that I kept the truth from all of you. I didn't know how to tell you without her finding out that I knew."  Taina's eyes widened, "That's impossible; there is no way you knew. You are lying!" She knocked over a bookshelf as she passed. Busts, books, and small antique statuettes were scattered across the floor. Zach looked her in the eyes, "Read my mind, dear, and you will see all that I know."  "I can't hear anything that you are thinking. This isn't how it was supposed to be. This was supposed to be a surprise attack, and I was going to kill you all. This is not fair," Taina turned and disappeared into thin air.  Jane rushed to her daughter's side, "Tabitha, can you hear me, sweetheart?" Tabitha moaned but didn't open her eyes.  Henry, the originals' doctor, walked into the room, "Please let me take her to the hospital. I'll fix her arm and run tests to ensure that she doesn't have any other injuries." Jane just nodded.  Fredrick sat down and sighed, "Dylan told us that they would call with news as soon as they had some. Maybe, we should call them with some news instead."  Eliza placed her hand on her husband's arm, "They will call when they get to where they are going."  "I wish I could have shared everything with you. I hated keeping it from you. It took me a lot of patience and practice to learn to block her from being able to listen in," Zach stated soberly. "I tried... I tried..." He placed his head in his hands and cried.  Jane wrapped her arms around her husband, "It is okay. Is there anything that we can do now?" Zach shook his head, "I know what she wants, but I don't know how to stop her."  "What does she want?" Eliza asked.  "To tell the future," Zach closed his eyes. "This is why Melody will be kidnapped."  Fredrick gasped, "She is just a baby. Elementals don't get those gifts until they are of age."  "Except for one child," Zach stated. "One child in half a million years from our creation, one direct descendant, one female twin, the one that is born to the 'forbidden child' will receive the gift of foresight at birth. It will cause her trouble from the moment she is born. A lost goddess will try to steal her gift, but the twin may be lost in the process."  Eliza stood, "I have to call and tell Skylar and James. They need to know what we know. They can do research and be prepared for this."  Zach shook his head, "There is nothing that we can do. This is a battle that sweet baby Melody must face. It is her destiny. If we are to take this away from her, she will not become who she is supposed to be. That is if Taina isn't successful."  Fredrick stood, "I don't like this at all. The least we could do is tell them why she is k********g her."  "Zach is right. They know that she will be kidn*pped; the rest is up to them," Jane said sadly as she walked out of the conference room.
