Melody played with her rattle while lying in the crib that Taina got her. Taina stands nearby, trying to figure out how to steal Mel's power but can't seem to figure out if she has come into them yet or not.
Mel whined softly; Taina forgot how demanding babies could be. She rolls her eyes and picks the infant up, giving Mel the bottle she had prepared. Mel cried louder. This was not what she wanted. Mel reached up and put her hand on the side of Taina's face.
Taina lay on the kitchen floor in her castle, bleeding out from a werewolf attack. The wolf breathed heavily over her bleeding body. The wolf was a glowing blue color and small but very powerful.
Mel laughs, and the images stop. After another moment, Mel places her hand back on Taina's face.
Jacob stands tall in front of Taina with Mel wrapped in a pink fuzzy blanket, sleeping in his arms.
He says, "Of all the dirty things you have done, this is the worse. I will never forgive you for this."
Taina tries to shake the dreamlike state, but Mel growls, and it continues.
"Please, I don't know what I will do without you by my side," Taina cries.
"I will never be by your side. You lost that right a long time ago," Jacob growls at her.
The images vanish and dissolve into nothing. When Taina opens her eyes and looks down at Mel, the baby seems to be sleeping peacefully.
Taina tries to lay her down, but Mel screams out. She places her hand on Taina's face and shows her images of Skylar and James.
This image was different than the rest; Skylar held a child as he nursed. She seemed to be very content. James sat on the couch next to her, reading a book. The room was a sky blue nursery with only one crib. Mel stood outside the window crying. She seemed to be four or five years old. Donnie came running into the room with a book. He was talking, but the words weren't clear.
There was a growling screech as Taina felt pain in her face.
"That was different," Taina looked down at Mel. "You seem to have more than just the power of foresight. I am not sure what to call this other power of yours, though."
Mel cried again as she was trying to nurse Taina.
Taina shook her head, "Maybe that's why you won't take the bottle. You haven't ever had one. But I don't think that's true; your mom has traveled away from you before. I wonder if it is the type of bottle or maybe you don't like formula. What will I do?" Taina taps her toes on the floor of the room. "I need breast milk, but I don't know anyone other than your mother or aunt that breastfed. Take this stupid bottle, spoiled little princess."
Mel takes the bottle because she's hungry and knows she needs to eat. She may only be a few months old, but she is super intelligent.
Taina burps her after Mel finishes the bottle and lays her in the crib. Mel doesn't move as she is asleep. Taina sighs, relieved that she doesn't cry again.
Leaving the room while Mel sleeps, Taina makes her way down the stairs to Cassandra, Joy, and Victoria. Evanora was sitting in the small living room looking through a book, frustrated.
"What are you reading?" Taina spits out bitterly.
Evanora slammed the book shut, "It's just a book my mother had on her shelf. Nothing of importance." Evanora stood and tried to take the book to the bookshelf on the other side of the room. Taina snatched the book out of her hands and looked at it.
"Nothing. This book is something. I want to know why you didn't tell me about it before," Taina taunts her.
Evanora states sadly, "You took everything from me. You never even let me know my mother. You made sure my father was mean to me. I don't even know where my sister is living. You won't tell me anything; at least this book tells me some about my mother's history."
Taina shakes her head, "You really think that the way your life turned out was all my fault. You really don't think Marge had anything to do with it."
"You came to see me, and my dad was your lover. I know you had more to do with it. You have some kind of control over me, though. Marge may have tried to save me, and she wasn't successful, but you didn't try to do anything but learn more about me. You are even eviler than my own mother," Evanora cried out.
Taina laughs, "I don't know where your sister is. I haven't ever cared to look for her. Why should I? I don't plan on keeping you around much longer. I just want you to come into your vampire powers so that I can steal them."
Evanora screams, "I bit her. I drank her blood. Then I healed her wound. I feel my powers growing, but now I want to pay you back for being so horrible to me as I was growing up. You always said it was because you loved me. You wanted what was best for me. You have lied to me all my life! How did you even know that my mother was your long-lost cousin and goddess of hell?"
"You see, darling, I have kept in contact with her over the years. I made sure I knew where she and Cassandra were. I wanted to steal their powers and be able to return to a throne. However, Cassandra and her little posse killed her before I could steal her powers. Plus, she was killing many of my enemies, so I just let it happen. I had lost Cassandra some years ago. Then the battle that caused the guardians to make themselves known happened. That's when I found your stupid aunt. Then the gods' guardians decided to make her human. Everything started playing out perfectly. Now, if you excuse me, I must go check on our guest." Taina laughed as she walked away carrying the Witch and Demon history book.
Evanora was bitter because Taina was taking the book. It told her more about her sister. She was going to have to get that book back.
Taina knocked on the cell door as she unlocked it, "Is anyone home?"
"When are you going to feed us? I am hungry," Cassandra complained.
Taina opened the book, "You see, I don't care if you eat or not. I want you to die a slow, painful death." She got a paper cut as she turned a page in the book.
Cassandra's eyes turned blood red, and she leaped and attacked Taina, drinking her blood. Cassandra was turned into a vampire but had enough compassion to lick Taina's neck, healing her wound.
"How dare you drink my blood?" Taina stuttered out.
Cassandra laughed, "Taina, you deserve all the suffering you will receive. Because you see, I remember everything. I have my powers back. We were just waiting here for you to return. I am more than just a vamp. I am now the Moon Goddess again."
A bright light lit up the room as Cassandra, Joy, Victoria, and Marge all disappeared from the room.
Taina screamed, "NO! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!" Then she lost consciousness as she hit the floor.
