"Hello?" Dylan answered his phone.
Eliza replied, "Son, we have news for you and everyone else. We weren't going to call but this is important."
Dylan looked around the room, "I am going to put you on speaker, so you can share the information with all of us."
"Hello, Eliza," Skylar said after the phone was placed in the center of the table.
"We received a visit from Taina, right after you left. She returned Tabitha to us. Tabitha is doing well. She doesn't have any memories of the last few years and keeps asking for you, Dylan. We have explained what happened to her and she is angry that you didn't know the difference. We have brought in a specialist to help with her memory," Eliza paused.
Sadie looked over at Dylan, "Maybe we should return to see Tabitha. So she can see that you are happy and alright."
Fredrick spoke up, "No, the best thing for you to do at this point is to move forward with your plans. Moving backward will only delay things."
Before anything else could be said the call was ended.
James smiled, "Skylar, honey, we should take the children and try to get some rest. We need to officially start our tour now. We know that Taina is still out there and she has plans for our Melody. We can't let this stop us from seeking the love and support for our people."
Sadie nodded, "I think we could all use some rest."
Skylar picked up the twins as they started to whine. "They are hungry. I will feed them and then we can settle in for the night."
Peter smiled, "Will you help us look into the disappearance of your uncle?"
Skylar nodded, "We will see what we can do, as we travel."
Emily hugged both Sadie and Skylar, "Good night. We will see you in the morning before you leave."
Jerrika opened the door and everyone followed her out. They were all chatting about different things they learned over the last several hours.
Dalton looked at Abby, "What were we just talking about?"
Abby shook her head, "I don't remember. I am really tired let's go to bed."
Emily and Peter exchanged a look. "This happens every time. I wonder why."
Skylar hugged Peter and Emily as she took the twins off to bed. "We look forward to touring the kingdom tomorrow and meeting your subjects. We need to find someone for our royal council before we move on," Skylar said as she yawned.
"Good night," James said as he took Donnie from his wife.
Jerrika and Mitch were still standing inside the safe room. "I don't understand why you don't seem to think everything is fine. It is as if we didn't learn anything while in this room. No one remembers that Taina is Peter's fated mate. Jacob was Emily's and her dad had him killed and then forced Peter to marry Emily. That they have a son that they named after her mate that just disappeared. This is just crazy," Jerrika stated.
Mitch nodded, "Before we leave, let's write everything down in this notebook. That way maybe we can read it later and remember everything."
"It isn't any use," Peter stated as he walked back into the room.
"This is something we need to remember. We need to help you every way we can," Jerrkia stated.
Emily sighed, "I wish it were that easy. We have had people take notes, recordings, pictures, etc. When the object leaves through that door, it disappears as if it was never written, recorded, etc. Everyone loses that part of their memory. I don't know why we always remember, maybe as torture."
"There has to be a way for someone other than you to remember," Jerrika protested.
Peter shook his head, "The witch that created this room must have cast a spell that whatever is spoken about in this room can not be remembered by anyone but us when they leave it."
"Then what if we talk about these things after we leave the room. Will we be able to remember them then?" Mitch asked.
Emily shrugged, "We have always been afraid to talk about these things outside of these walls. Peter being Taina's mate is huge news. She is a known fallen goddess in our parts. We, also, don't know how to bring up Jacob to anyone. They remember my mate being killed, but no one knew that that is who he was to me. They just knew he was Peter's best friend. The memory of our son has ceased to exist. We don't know what to do."
Jerrika sighed, "Can we talk about everything in your office and see if we can remember in the morning?"
"We can at least try," Mitch stated.
"When we leave this room, you will insist that you are too tired," Peter exclaimed.
Mitch nodded, "You will need to persuade us that we have to go to your office. It is a matter of life and death. No matter what we say, you have to convince us otherwise."
Emily and Peter held hands. She said, "We will walk out the door first. We always remember everything we are told."
Jerrika and Mitch walked out the door following Peter and Emily. Jerrika smiled at Mitch as they walked out, "I remember."
Mitch gave her a confused look, "You remember what?"
"About Jacob, Taina, Tabitha, and everything," Jerrika exclaimed.
"I don't know who Jacob is. Tabitha is missing and Taina took her place. What are you so excited about?" Mitch was getting angrier by the moment.
Jerrika took his hand, "Let's go to Peter and Emily's office and talk about everything."
Mitch shook his head, "I am too tired. I just want to go to bed. This can wait until the morning."
"No, it can't and it won't wait. We have to go now," Jerrika pleaded.
Emily nodded, "We have to talk about this tonight. Otherwise, we don't know what will happen by morning."
"Please, Mitch, trust your wife and mine," Peter begged.
Mitch finally nodded, "Okay, I will go with you. I don't know why I can't just go to bed but let's get this over with."
While they walked towards the office, Emily asked Jerrika, "I was wondering if you may know why you remember when no one else does."
Jerrika nodded, "I think it may have to do with the fact that I was created with magic. Well, that was my first thought but Mitch was created with magic too. Neither of us was born, I was made a minion to be disposed of. Mitch was created into an elemental. I can't find the reasons. I just have all these questions running through my head. Why can I remember when no one else can?"
"Who was the witch that created you?" Peter asked.
"Merlia," Jerrika answered.
Peter nodded his head, "You know she wasn't always bad. She and Marge lived with us for a long time. Marge's mate was part of our pack. Of course, I don't remember much about either of them as I was just a child. I remember my father telling me about the two witch sisters that created a special room. Maybe because she helped create the room and she was your creator as well."
Jerrika smiled, "Maybe she used part of the same magic for both the room and me."
Emily opened the door at the end of the hall, "Please have a seat on the couch."
"Why are we here again?" Mitch asked.
Jerrika explained to him about everyone forgetting what was going on and how she was able to remember and she wanted to try to explain everything to him to see if he could remember now that he wasn't in the safe room anymore.
