POV Alpha Kacy

great stuck in this damn car for 3 hours watching trees fly past my Windows listening to Alexander and Liam listen to there shitty pop music.

"Alex can we turn it down ashiniko is giving me a headache" an exausted sigh leaving my lips.

"yes alpha what would you prefer?"beta Alexander replied,

right before I could answer Liam perked up.

"can we please listen to harry styles?" his puppy dog eye's staring straight into my soul I hated upsetting Liam because if liam was sad I got an angry beta so I just nodded my head Harry styles wasn't to bad.

after what felt like life time we finally arrived in royal city but I can hardly keep my eyes open,

"Alexander can you stop and grab me a triple shot"

I asked him.

"sure thing alpha" he pulled the suv to a halt and hopped out and headed to a local coffee shop it was called death by caffeine.

I yawned and leaned my head back about to just let sleep take me 8:30 was too damn early for any normal person as my eyes started to droop when I saw a large white wolf with blood red eyes pad past my Windows, was that a wolf out in the open did the humans know what he was??

"gray? can you speak with him?" gray is my wolf and for most of the trip he had been silent he hated leaving the pack lands unprotected,

"its a dog you i***t cant you see its human on the other side??"gray scoffed,

"if I did do you think I would have asked you, you don't need to be rude"I scolded.

I watched as the wolf was shoved out of the way by a very anxious and agressive Alexander he stop for only a second probably to apologize, he wasn't all bad.

he han towards us and opened the driver's side door and popped his head in.

"the damn place is out of espresso boss" he grumbled,

that's when gray started howling and running in circles in my head.

"She's here She's here!!!!" he was barking over and over again,

"who gray who's here" I asked but that's when the scent hit me ripe peaches and green tea.

my pupils dilate as I breathe in deeply.

"Mate"

I had found her but didn't actually find her I saw no one that's when Alex climbed into the car the scent hung to him like the most amazing perfume.

"Kacy why does our beta smell like mate?" gray was very curious and so was I "I don't know" the smell was making me feel crazy Alex had touched my mate? but when? maybe in the coffee shop, my thoughts came to Holt as we pulled up to the front of the glass covered skyscraper where we were to be meeting with the other alphas.

it was time to get to business I could look for my mate later,

we told Liam to wait with the car and boy did her pout but what else could I expect from my betas mate I could tell he was upset about him having to wait in the car Alex needed him most times to stay calm, I could see a large blue vain bulging from his neck and I couldn't help from chuckling to myself.

"Alex calm down Liam is fine and I need you here a present please" all I got was a nodd and some kind of grunting noise but it was better then nothing.

"hello what floor is the CEO on he's expecting me" I asked a young wolf behind the front counter,

"ah yes welcome you must be alpha Kacy everyone else is on the sixth floor and the elevators are to your right"the boy was polite and informative I gave him my thanks and pushed the elevator button.

the meeting had already started alpha lark stood at the front laughing with the alpha king and his beta I looked around I seems like silver Moon had yet arrive, as I walked closer to the door the scent him me again and much stronger this time she was here so she must be a black down wolf gray was very excited she works on this floor and after this meeting she would be mine if I had to take her kicking and screaming.

after about 30 minutes we all decided to begin without silver Moon we had waited long enough for the boy.

I asked Alexander to wait outside he was quite irritated with his mate and his anger had started and ended wars.

I had just sat down when alpha lark clapped his hands together.

"ah here she comes now I sent a pack member to get us all coffee" exclaimed lark god coffee sounds like an amazing thing right now.

I saw him wave someone from outside in.

then Alexander mind linked me "this child has a dire wolf it makes me uncomfortable" he growled through the link " don't do anything you will regret she is black Dawn pack don't engage.." but I spoke to late alpha lark was screaming "No! let her go !!!""

he jumped completely over us all to get to the young woman my beta currently had pinned by the neck to the wall she tried to get him off to no avail.

I saw her all white wolf attack from the back as Alex kicked the animal through the air into the wall across from us with enough force to knock the wind out of its lungs.

lark swung open the door that's when the smell hit me with full force right peaches and green tea that bastard had my mate pinned against the wall, I moved with such speed that I became a blur my claws were slipped from my skin I was standing behind my beta, I'm about to rip him to shreds when I shouted through the mine link "MATE!!!"

I could feel Alexander panic as her dropped her on the floor,

"Alexander I think you should go wait in the car" my sweet little mate began to cough I thought she must know Im standing right next to her but she didn't even look my way she groaned out one word"Ghost" as she turned her head to the beastie that was laid out on the floor.

he must be very important to her so as lark tended to my mate I went to her pup, I checked his pulse and gave him a gentle message behind the ears, a loud growl slipped through his clenched fangs.

I could here my mate saying something with worry but I couldn't help but focus on the giant beast that's when his jaws closed around my hand with great force" I could here gray laughing in my head " he doesn't like you" he continued to laugh as when I felt soft hair run against my arm and her arm encircled around the wolfs neck,

"he's fine"I tried to tell her when I noticed blood running down her beautiful face I couldn't help but touch her I cupped her heart shaped face in my hand that was not in the dogs mouth.

she looked up at me I was waiting for her to recognize me as her mate but she just looked at me like I had three heads and shouted at her beast.

"GHOST RELEASE"

"WE DONT BITE" she look radiant her eyes carrying great concern.

"I'm fine don't worry about me, your bleeding child"

"gray ask her wolf what her name is" but gray cried out sadly " Kacy she has no wolf" and just with that one sentence my world broke my beautiful mate was human I could feel ghost release me so stood up and prepard to walk away my heart was broken,

"and you are child?" I spoke casually trying to hide me and grays combined sadness "oh um I'm Samantha I'm alpha larks assistant and receptionist" she spoke softly, blush covering her soft pink skin.

letting my hand fall from her face I smiled,

"the wound doesn't look deep" I was trying to keep my cool but could never take a human for my Luna how dare the moon goddess do this to me!.

"well Samantha the receptionist I ask for your forgivenes" I planned for this to be the last time I laid eyes on Samantha she was beautiful glossy brown hair that fell around her face in soft waves, dark brown eyes the same color as the dark oak trees that grew I'm the forest of my childhood home, freckles littered her pink cheeks, I loved every inch of her I wanted her but knew better I needed strength and humans were fragile she would cause my down fall.

I needed to walk away and I did just that "go back what are you doing that's our mate our Samantha!" gray was screaming in my head.

"we can't gray she's human we could kill her"

he argued with me for the rest of the meeting not that I was paying attention to anything all that was going through my mind was her.

the meeting ended at around 11:30 and alpha lark asked if we would like to borrow a room at one of his wolf only high rise in the city,

"just because I know how long it takes to get to royal city from ashersville" I agreed with him I was exausted and he extended an invitation to join them for dinner at there home which I excepted with grace, most packs feared me but lark still though of me as the small boy standing behind my father's leg I had nothing but respect for him.

"do you understand what you could have done do you know what I would have done If you had killed her!!!" I was repremanding my beta in the parking garage of the high rise apartments " I beg your forgiveness kacy" Alex was a good friend and I never minded him calling me by my name.

"I accepted it Alex but only because she lived "

the trip up to the room was quick since we brought nothing with us anyway, "room 518 alpha right here " Liam called over to us.

coming up to the door I heard loud barking and howling from the room right across from us.

"I can't stand people with dogs " scoffed Liam

as 6 huge direwolves burst through the front door with Samantha running behind them leashes in hand, I watched as she ran down the hall in a track suit watching her ponytail bounce up and down, Alex patted me on the shoulder to get my attention and laughed and pointed in her direction "that ,that right there is all yours " he then turned and let out a rumbling laugh as he walked in the door chasing after his mate.
