They all walked across the yard to the front door of the house. They went in and Scott shut and locked the door, behind them all. He looked out the window, to check for unwanted visitors. Everything seemed to be quiet for the moment. They all sat down at the table. The Detective noticed that there were guns out on the counter and in the living room. Scott saw him looking at the guns and told him, they are for protection, against anyone trying to enter the house without permission. He told Scott and Amanda that so many things seem to be connected. The motel, the body of Joe that was not Joe, then the two officers questioning him about his intentions and acting strange, and the brakes on my car being cut. The Detective started by asking, “what is going on, and why are they after you?” Scott looked over at Amanda to let her answer some questions. She started by telling him who she used to work for, and what she did for them. The Detective took a deep breath and said, “this is not really about Aliens and UFO’s is it?” Amanda looked right in his eyes and said, “that is exactly what all of this is about.”
Scott interjected and said, “remember, I did tell you to keep an open mind.” Detective Jones just nodded his head and said “continue,” Amanda then went on telling him about the four categories of Aliens, and what their purpose was. Then she told him about Joe and how they choose to replace her with him, since they are planning on replacing all the low level contractors, with “Hybrids,” now that they have a strong hold, throughout the government. He asked her “what their objective was?” She said, “to secretly run our society, without us knowing, they are in control of us.” She said “they need our bodies, and our DNA, to create more of themselves. Without us they cannot multiply in numbers.” The Detective’s mind was now blown away, and with what she was telling him, he just sat there thinking, “IS THIS REAL!” He then looked at Scott and asked how he fits it with this? He told the Detective, that he was a pilot in the Airforce, and had a very close sighting of one of their space crafts. Then how he got suspended for not dropping the matter after trying to make a report.
The Detective had been recording there interview with him. He then asked “how he could help them?” The only thing that they could come up with was “find Joe, and stop him.” He asked who gives Joe his orders, Amanda said “Colonel Wyatt.” He told them that he had planned on interviewing the Colonel. But I hear that he was anything but friendly or helpful for Detective Smith. Then he told them that he was going to go back and see this Colonel Wyatt. He then looked at Amanda and asked if “she had any proof, that the Colonel is involved.” She said that “she kept a recording of all there phone calls,” but as soon as the plan was to eliminate her, she put it in her safety deposit box, at the bank. But Joe knew about the recordings, and he really needed to get and destroy it. He also knew that she had put it in her bank deposit box, because she told him, when she thought she could trust him. Since she was the one that changed him into a Hybrid. So if they were going to catch Joe, we need to go to the bank. He will have it watched, and as soon as we show up, he will be called. So they needed to make a plan, to trap Joe.
The three of them sat in Scott’s home putting together a plan; to catch Joe. They also wanted to get the Colonel, and prove that he was involved in all that was happening. So they decided to have Amanda go into the bank alone, while Scott and the Detective stakeout the bank from the parking lot across the street. Amanda was going to get the recording device and place it in the open area of the bank, since she would have a dummy device with her. Amanda knew that this could be a one way ticket, because as soon as she entered the bank, she would be caught, by Joe or by some other “Hybrid” and taken to Joe. Then the Detective would go into the bank and get the real device, and use it as leverage, to get her back and to get the Colonel out in the open, or at least prove that the Colonel was calling the shots with Joe. They knew that the entire plan rested on Amanda getting caught, and that scared Amanda, because she knew what the techniques were for getting what they wanted.
The bank was still open, for a few more hours. So the three of them set the plan in motion. Amanda took Scott’s car and Scott went with the Detective. They did not leave at the same time; they were 15 minutes apart. Scott and the Detective left first, to give them time to get into place. They got in place in the parking lot just across the street. They had a good view of the bank entrance, and could see everyone going in and coming out. The minutes that they were waiting for Amanda seemed like eternity for Scott, because he was getting attached to her, with all they had been through together, just in the last couple of days. Scott saw his car pull up and Amanda parked it in the bank parking lot, on the left side of the bank. She sat in the car for a few moments, to gather her nerve and to catch her breath, since she knew how this could go down; if this plan doesn’t work. She finally got up the willpower to go in the bank. She opened the car door and got out of the car, and stood against the car door for a few seconds.
As Amanda was walking to the main entrance of the bank, she was counting the cement squares on the sidewalk she is walking on, because the closer she got to the bank, the more panicky she was getting. By the time she got to the main doors of the bank, she seemed to almost be out of breath. She took a big deep breath and gathered her composure, then grabbed the door handle, and pulled it open. The bank had a double set of doors, so as soon as she opened the first set, she felt a gust of air blow past her, from the suction in-between the two sets of doors. She opened the second set of doors to completely enter the bank. As soon as she did, she noticed two police officers in the bank just talking to the security guard, in the middle of the open floor plan. When she took her first steps to the employee sitting at the front desk, she noticed the two officers stop talking and both of them were just staring at her every move. She could tell by their emotionless faces, that they were waiting on her to get the device from the safety deposit box.
She made it to the employee and lets her know that she would like to get into her box, in the vault. The employee said “of course, follow me.” They both went into the vault, and as the employee, pushed her key into the box # 237, Amanda could hear the tumblers bouncing as the ridges of the key passed under the pins. As she turned her key, she heard a click and one side of the box was unlocked. Amanda took her key and entered it and turned it very slowly, as she heard the click from her key as well. The bank employee said, “take your time, and come out when you are done.” As soon as she was alone in the vault, she took a deep breath and opened the safety deposit box door, and slid out her long skinny box from the wall. She put it on the table right behind her, and opened the lid she just looked inside the box, at the recording device. Amanda grabbed the device, and kept it in her right hand. She had the duplicate in her hand bag, that she has hanging on her shoulder.
Amanda knew that she only had a second or two to make the drop, before she was taken. On her way into the vault, she noticed a large plant, against the wall, so as she exited the vault, and dropped her hand bag, and pretended that it was an accident. As she bent down to get her bag, she put the device in the back of the plant, under a dead leaf that had fallen. Scott and Detective Jones were watching her with a set of binoculars. They witnessed where she had placed the device. They just needed to wait for something to happen inside the bank. They did not have to wait long, because as soon as she stood up, the two officers were standing right above her and one of them said, “where is it?” She said “in my bag” then they took her out of the bank, with an officer on each side of her. She was getting more afraid, only because she knew that there was a chance that the plan would not work, like they discussed.
The Detective said “those are the two officers that I interacted with earlier today.” They watched the officers put Amanda into their police car, and then they drove away. The Detective told Scott to stay in the car, while he went into the bank and grabbed the device that Amanda left for them. He went into the bank and walked over to the plant against the wall; he bent down and looked around the base of the plant. He saw the large dead leaf, and he lifts it up. There was the device. He grabbed it; he then put it in his pocket and walked out of the bank, without saying a word to anyone there. The employees just all watched him in silence. He exited the bank, and crossed the street to his car. He got into his car and told Scott that he had it. The Detective looked at Scott and said, “it is time to set the plan in motion.” They were not far from Scott’s house, so they went back there. As soon as they got there, they made the call and showed their hand.
Scott called Amanda’s phone, knowing that Joe would pick it up. Since by now he would know that the device they have was a fake. The plan was working. Joe answered the phone, when Scott called it. Joe said that he wanted the device, or he would hurt Amanda; or worse, change her into a “Hybrid,” that works for him. Scott told Joe “that if anything happened to her, the recordings go to the media outlets.” Joe was not one for poker. He called their bluff, and told them “get the device to him or Amanda pays the price.” He told Scott, to go to the base, and Colonel Wyatt will be there waiting for him. When Scott hung up the phone, he looked at the Detective and said, “the hook has been set.” They knew that they needed to get to the base, as quick as they could, because they did not trust Joe.
Joe had Amanda at the base, several floors underground. He told her that either way, she was not getting out of this in one piece. Joe left the room for a moment and came back pushing a tray table. She immediately knew what was under the sterile cloth. Her heart started to beat faster and faster, she did not want to be changed into a “Hybrid,” because there was no changing back. He told Amanda, he did not care whether they got the real device or not. He was going to do to her, what she did to him. But so far it was just a threat of what he might do to her. Scott and Detective Jones were heading right to the base. As soon as they got there, they pulled up to the front security gate, where Scott expected to be detained; because he had no identification to get on the base, since it had been taken away, for the month. But when they pulled up, they gave the guard their names and they were then given instructions. They were told to go inside the building, and follow the corridor to the left, and when they got to the end, they were to turn right. Then get into the elevator and press the call button.
After they received their instructions, they were waved through, and told where to park. They followed the guidelines that they were told, and headed to the elevator. As they were walking down the long corridor, it was empty, but the lights were on and very bright. The temperature was very cold, as they made it to the elevator. They got there and pressed the button and the doors opened. They went inside. There was only one button to push, so they pressed it. The doors shut and it started to move. It was heading down, several floors underground. When it stopped and the doors opened there stood Colonel Wyatt, with the two men in black suits. The two men walked over to Scott and the Detective and searched them. They took away any weapons they had on them. When they were done being searched, the men kept a hold of them, as to guide them to a chair. They were both forced to sit down.
As soon as they were seated, the Colonel said, “listen closely, and do not interrupt!” “I want that device, or none of you will make it out of here alive.” The Detective thought that if he threatened the Colonel with arrest, he might think twice about what he was saying. But the Colonel was un-wavered, and it seemed to just annoy him, that the Detective would even consider talking to him that way. Colonel Wyatt said “where is it?” They informed the Colonel that they did not have it on them, and that Amanda was to be set free along with them, also they would be taking Joe with them to arrest him for murder. And then he could have the device. This just infuriated the Colonel. He did not like taking orders, especially from them. The Colonel knew that he was in a tough spot at that moment, so he looked at his henchmen, and then one of them left the room they were in. They all just waited there in silence. After ten minutes had gone by, the man in the black suit returned. He had Joe and Amanda with him.
He had hold of Amanda’s arm. As soon as she saw Scott, she yelled and said, “don’t give it to him, I would rather die.” He threw her to the ground, and one of the men pulled out a tactical mace, which he whipped out and it extended the wand. His hand went up in the position of striking her, in the back of the head. Scott yelled “stop,” just before his arm came down like a guillotine to strike the back of her head. Scott agreed to give the Colonel the device, but he had to let her go. He told the Colonel that he would tell her where it was and the Detective along with Amanda could go get it. He would stay there. The Detective also stated that Joe needed to come with them; because he was going to take Joe in for murder. The Colonel agreed to it all. Amanda was pulled up to her feet. She went over to Scott and hugged him. The man in the suit grabbed her off of him. She then said “where is it?” Scott whispered it to her and the Detective. Amanda and Joe left the room and got on the elevator. Scott stayed in the chair.
The Colonel said to Scott “this is all your fault, all you had to do was to forget what you saw.” His reply was “people have a right to know, what is happening to them.” He then told the Colonel, “you are the trader, so this is really your fault.” He looked at Scott and smiled an evil grin, and then said, “you know, you will not leave here, the same way you came in, because you know too much.” The man with the tactical mace rose up his arm and strikes it down onto Scott’s left leg. Scott yells out in pain, as he falls out of the chair. He then strikes him again in the same place. The pain was almost unbearable. Scott was rolling around the floor withering in pain, with his leg possibly broken. Scott was about in tears, as he told the Colonel “you don’t have to do this.” The Colonel looked at him, and then at the man in the black suit, as he strikes him again, in the same leg. Scott was begging him to stop, and that he would do what he was told. He told Scott, we will stop for now, but just until we get the device.
Scott slid over to the chair, and made his way back onto it. He was holding his leg, trying to sooth the throbbing that was coming from his thigh. While the Detective and Amanda were out getting the device, Scott did not know why it is taking them so long. It was late into the night and Amanda finally arrived back to the Colonel, with the device. Scott did not see the Detective with her, so he assumed that he was taking Joe to jail. Scott said, “you have what you want, now let us go.” The Colonel looked at them both and said you can leave now. Amanda and Scott, got in the elevator, and rode it back up to the top floor. They got out and left the building. She had brought back Scott’s car, so she helped him walk over to the car and get in. He said “take me home.” As they were heading to Scott’s home, back on base the elevator was heading back down, to the Colonel’s office and the doors open. There stood Joe and the Detective, side by side, “asking the Colonel what his orders are?”
The Colonel told them that Scott had to be silenced, and that he had a plan in place. Amanda was the key. Amanda was still on the way to Scott’s home. It was a little bit of a drive, from the base. As soon as they got to his house, she helped him into the house, since his leg was badly bruised. He was glad it was not broken. Scott poured himself a glass of whiskey, and sat in his chair and thought that he could not believe that they got out of there alive. But they still had nothing on Colonel Wyatt, so they were no further ahead than when they started. Amanda looked at him and said that everything was going to be alright. Scott felt that her voice was very soothing, and it calmed him down. He said that they would need to come up with a new plan, to take down the Colonel. He was just glad that Joe was now out of the picture, because he was a very dangerous person. He had no empathy for human life.
Amanda took Scott by the hand and led him to the bedroom, where they stayed the rest of the night. Scott was falling in love with her. He felt that he would do anything for her, as well. Detective Jones put a surveillance team on Scott and Amanda, to follow their every move. The next morning, Scott called the Detective; just to make sure that everything was good and to find out if he needed anything else from him. What he really wanted to know was if Joe was put away. The Detective told him “everything is just fine, and that he doesn’t need to worry about Joe.” Scott asked him “if there was anything else they could use, to take down Colonel Wyatt.” The Detective eluded that there might be another angle they could use against the Colonel; but he would need to call him back and discuss it latter in detail. Scott knew that he had to get the word out, about the Aliens secretly controlling us.
Scott wanted to contact the media, but Amanda wanted him to wait, because they needed more proof, since they had lost everything that they both had. He decided that they could not wait and that they needed to act now. Scott still had the burner phone; which he used it to call the media outlets. The first one he called, asked if they wanted a big story about a government Alien cover-up? They told him not to waist there time with fake accusations, just because you’re disgruntled. Then they hung the phone up on him. He knew that he had to come up with something different. The next one he called, he asked to talk to their news desk. They asked him how they could help him, and asked what his story was. He first told them who he was, and how he got involved in this nightmare. Up to this point they were still on the phone listening. He then told them about the levels of Aliens, and how the Military was being controlled by them.
Scott told them about Colonel Wyatt, and how he is in charge of “Hybrids,” who did his bidding, to enhance the Alien culture. The news desk had lots of questions; but, they wanted some proof. He told them about the eyes and how they are a hazel green, with an ocean wave pattern. He then said that all of their proof had been stolen, and that they just have their word on the matter. The news desk took down his information and said that they were going to run this by their production manager, to see if they want to run with it, on a back page, just to see the response they get. Scott waited impatiently with Amanda for the call that they were going to run with the story. They called the Detective, to let him know what they were doing. He said “he was glad that they called him to let him know.” As soon as they got off the phone, the Detective called the Colonel and warned him about the media attention, which could be coming.
The Colonel said that he would take care of it. He contacted the Public Relations Department, which worked for him. They called the media outlets and reported a counter story, about Scott, and how he was relieved of duty, for drugs and alcohol use while flying jets. Also that he was hallucinating that he saw an Alien craft, flying while intoxicated. They decided to run with the Colonel’s story, just because it was coming from a trustworthy department. Scott and Amanda were watching the news and a special report came on. As they sat on the edge of their seats waiting for the report to start, a picture of Scott popped up on the screen, and it was talking about how he was a disgruntled Officer that got relieved of duty. He sat in his chair listening to the news report, with his mouth draped open from shock. He thought for a moment that he only told one person, and that was the detective. He looked at Amanda, and asked “what happened when they left to get the recording device for the Colonel?”
They looked at each other, as Scott walked over to her. He looked into her eyes and noticed that she had contacts in. He grabbed her by the arms and said take out your contacts, right now. She hesitated for a moment and then complied. They were green hazel with an ocean pattern to them. He let her go and took a step back and said “why? How?” As he fell back into his chair, she walked over to him and informed him that it was over. He no longer had any leverage. Then she bent down close to him and looked right into his eyes and said “you will comply, once you are turned.” At that moment, there was a knock on the door. Amanda said “stay right there, I will get it.” She opened the door and their stood Captain Jeff Johnson. This time she said “how” as he lifted up his gun and shot her in the chest. She stumbled back while just starring at Jeff in disbelief. Amanda eventually fell over and died right in Scott’s living room. Jeff looked at Scott and said, “I am glad you are still you, we have work to do.
