All at the same time, the coroner sees that the time is up, and someone is coming into the morgue. But he has not seen who it is yet. He hears the footsteps coming down the short hallway that ends at the swinging doors that opens to the autopsy room. The doors swing open and there stands Detective Jones. He quickly asks “where is the body?” Steve tells him, “that the body is right in front of the furnace.” In a quick rush the Detective heads over to the furnace room. He grabs the doors and opens them up to push the body of Amanda in. As soon as Detective Jones starts to push the body into the furnace, Agent Brown rushes in and sees what he is about to do. He yells for the Detective to stop what he is doing, but he finishes pushing the body into the fire. He starts to run over there to stop the Detective, but he pulls out his gun and points it at the Agent, and tells him to “stop, or he will shoot.” Agent Brown knows that he needed to do something fast or all that evidence would be gone very soon.
He jumps behind a cabinet, and pulls out his gun as well. The coroner is standing right in the middle of the two men pointing guns at each other. He drops to the floor, in the hopes to not get shot. When Detective Jones tells him to come over to him, over at the furnace. Because he had a gun on the agent, he has not been able to shut the door to the furnace, so the safety switch will not turn off and start the torch. The coroner grabs the door to shut it, and the Agent, shoots the door and then he let it go, and falls back to the floor. He is yelling at the Detective “that it is over, and that he will be held accountable for attempting to destroy evidence.” He yells again “one last chance, pull the body out of the furnace, or you will be shot.” He does not hear any reply, so the Agent jumps out from behind the cabinet, and shoots. He hits the Detective in the leg, and he falls to the ground. It was a clean shot, but it hit an artery, he would bleed out in just a few minutes, unless he puts down his gun.
He threw down his gun, and then the Agent tells the coroner to try to stop the bleeding, while he pulls the body out of the furnace. The top layer of skin has been burnt off the body, but there was still enough tissue to do an autopsy. The coroner was able to get the bleeding stopped, and the Agent handcuffs the Detective to a pipe, so he could not try to escape. Agent Brown remembered what Scott told him about the eyes, so he tells the coroner to look at the Detectives eyes, and tell him if they are normal eyes. He looked into his eyes and all that Agent Brown heard was “what the hell” then he yells, “what do you see.” The coroner replies, “I have no idea what I’m looking at, I’ve never seen eyes like this before.” Agent Brown told him to look at Amanda’s eyes, to see if they are the same. He pulled her eyelids open and examines her eyes very carefully, and says, “they are the same.” He then told him to take blood samples from both of them.
As soon as everything was under control, Agent Brown called for additional back-up and an ambulance for Detective Jones, who he told was “under arrest.” The blood samples that the coroner took were sent to a local blood lab for examination. But it was going to take at least a day to get the results. The Detective was sent to a secure wing at a University Hospital, because when he was better, he would be sentenced to jail, for a very long time. The FBI Agent went back to the police station, and had a word with the Detective’s Captain. He filled him in on what went down at the morgue, and that he will be tried and convicted of many charges, including destruction of evidence, conspiracy to commit murder, and conspiracy to overthrow the government. The Captain told him that he could not believe what he was hearing. He had been a true blue, honest police Detective for as long as he could remember. When the Agent was at the morgue, he had the coroner tell him what was different about the eyes, so he received a quick medical lesson about eyes.
While he was with the Captain, he paid close attention to his eyes to see if they were different from regular human eyes, and the Captain’s eyes were normal. There were two officers that came into the office, to turn in an updated report on the so-called body of Joe, that turned out not to be Joe at all. The Agent noticed their eyes as they came in, mostly because they looked straight at the Agent with a disapproving look on their faces. The Agent did not say anything, because he did not know how deep the conspiracy went. But he just thought to himself, their eyes have been changed, they are not human. He asked to see Jeff and Scott again, since they were due to be released within the next 24 hours. The Agent told these two about what went on, and that this might go deeper than anyone of them even fathomed. He informed them that all the charges would be dropped and that they should be released within the next day.
Jeff and Scott were very joyful to hear that they were finally being validated; but they were told that now that they have opened Pandora’s Box, they are in grave danger. They knew that they could not just walk away. They had to see it to the end, and that meant getting rid of Colonel Wyatt, who could be the head of the snake. The two officers that Agent Brown saw in the office were just standing in the parking lot on the row that Agent Brown was parked on. He had to walk right by them to get to his car. Agent Brown rarely felt intimidated, but in this instance, he felt threatened just by them watching him walk to his car. He was almost afraid to start his car, because there could be a car bomb under the car. His car started fine, so he pulled out and drove up the ramp to exit to the main road. He left the station and went to the FBI building downtown, to write up the report and to figure out what the next move would be, since he is now in the middle of this investigation.
That night in the police station, while Jeff and Scott were sleeping, approximately at 1:30 am, men came into their cells and attempted to kill them both at the same time. The attempt was quiet and calculated, but they did not expect them to fight back as hard as they did. They raised so much commotion that the guards came running in, and saw what was happening. After the men that made the attempt were detained and put into solitary, and the reports had been made, Jeff and Scott were put into protected custody for the rest of the night. By the time all was said and done, it was 5:00 am anyway, and all the other prisoners were getting up and ready for breakfast. But they were not allowed to go into general population, as per the Warden. They had to have their food brought to them in their cells. Even though they were going to be released anytime soon, they still had to wait for the judge, to make the ruling, and they had no idea when that could be.
Throughout the night, Colonel Wyatt had been contacted by the “Naturals.” They wanted everyone involved eliminated. Starting with the coroner, and the police Captain. Colonel Wyatt had only had to deal with a “Natural” once before, and it had the Colonel scared. The first order of business was to take care of the coroner, because without him, they had no case against the Detective, as it would just be hearsay. Then they would take care of the police Captain, because he was told about everything. The judge finally got to the police station, and was examining the evidence, to see if it warrants dropping the charges against Jeff and Scott. The District Attorney just wanted this entire thing to go away. If the story about the Detective got out to the media that would be a huge black eye against the City and the Police. They never have had to deal with accusations like the one against the Detective and the body of Amanda, not being human.
Scott and Jeff were finally released, but they were told to stay in town, just in case they need them to answer any questions. As they were, being escorted out of the jail cells, they found themselves wondering, who setup the attack on them in their cells. The Warden met them at the out processing desk. He told them that “they were lucky this time, but next time they won’t be so lucky.” They tried to see his eyes, but the Warden was wearing dark eye glasses. They took the words that the Warden said to them as a threat. As Scott and Jeff exited the building, they kept looking back at the warden and he was just watching them. But soon he was approached by two officers that joined in on watching them leave. The three men watching them, made the two of them feel very vulnerable. They caught a taxi back to the base to get Jeff’s car. Once they got onto the base, they knew that they were being watched, because security guards started to gather around all the doors going into the main building, but they were not approached.
They made it back to Jeff’s house, because they did not think that it would have been being watched, like Scott’s house was. Jeff told Scott that “he could stay at his house for a few days.” Scott knew that as long as Colonel Wyatt was still around, neither of them would be safe. He wanted to get in touch with the FBI Agent that helped them out. But when they called the FBI headquarters downtown, they said that they had no record of an Agent Brown, which was involved with any case dealing with the police or government conspiracies. So now they were both very confused as to whom the FBI Agent really was. The two of them never saw a badge from the Agent; he just told them that “he was Agent Brown with the FBI.” So they said to each other, “we really were lucky.” As they were watching the news that night, there was a report of a house explosion, from an underground gas pipe leak. They showed a picture of the family that lived there. It was the Reynolds family, and that the father and husband of three children, was the County Coroner, Steve Reynolds. They were all killed in the blast.
They looked at each other and commented that, he was the coroner that the FBI Agent was telling them about. He is now dead, so now there might not be any case against the Detective. Scott said, as a shiver ran through his body, “Detective Jones will be coming after us, as soon as he is released.” Neither one of them slept much that night. They were just thinking of the house explosion that killed the Reynolds family, and how it is being called an accident; gas leak explosion. The morning came early for the two of them, since they did not sleep much. Jeff looked at his phone, once he turned it back on for the day. He had thirteen messages from different media outlets, all wanting comments or interviews. He got a big grin on his face as he told Scott the great news. This could be the niche they need to get rid of Colonel Wyatt. One of the messages was from a friend at the base who said he would help them. His message stated that “this morning, the entire main building and the Intelligence Command, was on lockdown, and every office is being searched. But they are not saying what they are looking for.
This was as per the orders of Colonel Wyatt. He also stated that all personal phones were being searched through, and all the phones interrogated electronically. Colonel Wyatt was searching for conspirators that may be helping Scott or Jeff. Every person they find in question will be detained and interrogated, to find out what the plans are for Scott and Jeff. The Colonel caught wind as to all the media outlets, which were sent all the data on the Alien Government Cover-up. He was still trying to figure out what to do about the media, but he had to do something fast, because it was all spiraling out of control, for the Colonel. Joe was still out there just waiting for his orders from the Colonel, on what he was to do. Because right now he is just doing the interrogations of anyone detained; and by interrogation, that meant being changed, into “Hybrids.” So far they had detained six Airmen that had close contact with Scott or Jeff, everyone else so far was just hiding from the guards.
While all this was going on around the base, the news about the death of the coroner was going around to all the City agencies, who were very saddened over the loss. One of the agencies that were very saddened was the local blood lab, which had the samples that had been taken from Amanda and Detective Jones. They had finished analyzing the samples and they came back as abnormal human cells, with only 45% being human and 55% unknown. The DNA resequencing was ineffective, since these were cells that had never been cataloged before. The report was sent to the County Coroner’s office and was just sitting in the incoming mail, marked urgent; but only Steve knew what the results was about. The mysterious FBI Agent had been waiting for the results. He knew what had happened to the coroner and his family, so he reached out to Scott and Jeff. They were glad that he did because they had wanted to meet with him; especially since the FBI had no record of him as Agent Brown.
The Agent agreed to meet with them, and explain to them who he really was. He came to Jeff’s house. The funny thing was that they never gave him the address. The so-called Agent Brown arrived at Jeff’s house, and then Jeff invited him in to explain the entire situation. He began by telling them that they were in a lot of danger, because they knew way too much, for the “Naturals” to be comfortable with. When he said that, they asked “how he knew that about the Naturals.” He leaned in and said “I am with the FBI, but my name is not Brown, it is Agent Wyatt, John Wyatt.” Jeff and Scott looked at each other and said “Wyatt” then the Agent told them that Colonel Wyatt was his father, and he knew all about what his father was doing. But, his father had no idea what the Agent was doing, since he used an allies. The Agent did not approve of what he was doing. He felt that his father was a traitor to the human race. He told them that his father had been in the service of the aliens for almost twenty years.
Scott felt that this was just the ally they needed. Since they needed something big that would shake the Alien’s foundation. Agent Wyatt needed to get the DNA results from the Coroner’s office, so that he could give it to Scott and Jeff to run with. The Agent told them that they needed to lay low for a little bit, until he got back with the results. Then they would have some big ammo to get to the media. They asked Agent Wyatt how much he knew that they did not, he said “that he knows what their entire plan is with the human race, and that this cover-up, goes high up into the Government. He said that “when he was young, he was visiting his dad in his office at the base; all of the sudden his dad shoved him under the desk and told him not to make a sound. A “Natural” came in through the private entrance and was talking to Colonel Wyatt, the entire time John was looking through a c***k in the desk watching the Alien and listening to what he was telling the Colonel.”
He said that “just seeing the “Natural,” frightened him, to the point that he lost control of his bladder and wet himself under the desk. After the “Natural” left, his dad pulled him out from under his desk, and told him that he was going to be okay, but he was never to divulge any of this to anyone, his entire life. That scared him even more since the person that he had always looked up to was planning with the Aliens to establish dominance over the human race.” He then said that “he never thought that his dad would have been capable of doing something like this, ever!” So the Agent looked at Scott and Jeff as the one’s that could help him out. Since he could not come out publicly because of whom he worked for and who his father was. They asked John what he knew about the “Created.” He said that no one really knows much about them, except his dad. He said that as soon as they are created, and are new born babies. They are mysteriously put in the foster program and adopted out, so even the “Naturals” did not know who the “Created” were, until they are activated.
John told them that there is no way to tell who a “Created” is, that he knew of, but maybe his dad did; he was not sure. All he knew was that somehow the “Naturals” had a way to activate a “Created,” but no one knows how or when or why. Scott could not believe their luck, having someone with this knowledge on their side, and willing to help them. Agent Wyatt told them not to trust anyone else, and to lie low until he returned with the document. The Agent left and was heading to the Coroner’s office, hoping to not run into anyone that knew him. He knew that he had to be very stealthy on this and try to just find that envelope and leave without having to explain himself at all. Back at the jail house, where Detective Jones had ben being held, was in the process of being out-processed. The District Attorney, and the police Captain along with the Warden, agreed that he had been falsely arrested and that there were no witnesses or evidence against him. So he was put back on active duty as a Police Detective.
The Detective was the only other person that knew about the blood DNA test that had been run on him and Amanda. He knew that he needed to get that report and destroy it, before it got into the hands of the wrong person. He knew that it had to be at the Coroner’s office just sitting there. He knew that he needed to get there and get in and get out without anyone seeing him especially if they knew him. He knew how important it was that he gets that report. He had to be very stealthy as well. Both Agent Wyatt and Detective Jones were on their way to the Coroner’s office to get the same report. But the question was who would get there first and could they find it? At the Coroner’s office, it was still business as normal, even though Steve was no longer there. There were still assistant Coroners, but they would not have known anything about any secret investigation. They also would not just hand over a report to just anyone, when it was addressed urgent and to the Coroner.
Agent Wyatt had just gotten to the Coroner’s office. He did not know where he could look to find the report. He found an assistant, and without telling them too much, he asked where a report marked urgent would be. They told him that he is the second person to come and ask that same question. He was told that Detective Jones had just gotten there as well. They pointed the FBI Agent to the back office, where the Detective was at that moment. The FBI agent slowly opened the door to the back office, with his gun drawn, and there stood the Detective with the unopened envelope, marked urgent, from the Blood Lab. The Detective also had his gun out. They were both at an in pass. The Agent voiced, “to hand over the envelope,” but the Detective was unwilling to comply, with his demands. With both of them having their guns drawn, it was a stalemate. When out of nowhere, an assistant came in through the backdoor into the office, and the Detective grabbed him and put his gun to his head, and was using him as a shield.
The FBI Agent knew that he had to defuse this problem that the Detective created. He did not want any innocent by standard killed due to Detective Jones working for the Aliens. He knew that if there were a shootout it would make it onto the news, and everyone’s cover would be blown at that point. So the Agent had to concede and let the Detective walk out of there with the report; just to save an innocent life. He did tell him that he would find him and stop him. He knew where he would be taking the report, so it was not a total lost cause yet. He was going to take the report the Colonel Wyatt. The Detective let the assistant go and slowly left through the back door, blocking it with a table so it would not open from inside office. The FBI Agent ran out the front door to try to catch the Detective, but he was nowhere to be seen. He did not know what kind of car the Detective would be driving, so he could not call in back-up to stop his car. He was on his own to stop him. At least he had an idea as to where he was heading.
The Agent headed to the base, and he tried to get there before the Detective got there, so he was in a big hurry. He got to the front gate and asked if a Detective had gotten there yet. They informed the FBI Agent “that the Detective had not signed in to the base yet.” So he was going to use this as an advantage to himself. He pulled into the parking lot and was staking out the main entrance. One thing that the Agent did not know is that some of the guards were loyal to the Colonel, and they knew who was on his side. By chance this guard that the Agent talked to was just one of those people. The guard informed Joe that an FBI Agent Brown was here looking for the Detective, and asked what he should do. Joe called the Detective and informed him about the events taking place with the FBI Agent, and not to come onto the base, and that he would go to him. Joe left his interrogation duties at that moment, so that he could go meet the Detective, and get the report. On Joe’s way out, he spotted the FBI Agent and took his picture, to show to the Colonel.
Agent Wyatt had heard about Joe, but had never seen him. So when he saw a civilian leave through the front doors of the main building, he thought nothing of it. But he was suspicious of everyone coming and going, from the base. He contacted Scott to see if they had a picture of Joe. Both Scott and Jeff searched their phones, but neither of them had a photo, and then Scott remembered that him and Brian had a website and their pictures were on the site. So he pulled up the site, and snapped a photo of him with his phone and sent it to Agent Wyatt. As soon as he saw the photo he thought to himself “holy s**t, that was him, leaving the base.” Since he knew what he looked like now, he was watching for him to come back to the main entrance. Agent Wyatt positioned himself so that he would have a tactical advantage if either one of the men were to show up. He was just hoping that the cameras that were in the parking lot were not getting a good picture of him, as to not inform his father of his presence.
As he was staking out the main doors, his mind was just wondering about the first time he saw a “Natural” and how it looked and how he felt. When he saw it under the desk as a child, it was a monster to him. It was around 7 feet tall with long arms, three fingers and a long thumb on each hand, very skinny, grey colored shin, large head, with small spikes and scales on it, like some kind of lizard. It had a very rough and growly voice, which projected through the room. All the sudden he snapped back into reality and realized that Joe was walking up the main walk way. He got out of his car and walked toward him. He introduced himself as Agent Brown, and asked him if he could answer some questions about whether or not he had seen Detective Jones or even knew who he was. He acted as if he did not know who he was. But Agent Wyatt knew that he was lying about it. He called him out on it and said that he needed to empty out all his pockets, since he was not caring anything in his hands. Joe had nothing incriminating on him, so Agent Wyatt thought that maybe this was a decoy, so that Detective Jones could go in a side entrance.
He thanked Joe for his time and let him go, even though he knew what he had done. He went back to his car and thought that maybe all this time has been a total waste, and that the document was gone. So he thought that he could go right to the source, and call the lab. Because detaining Joe was a decoy, Detective Jones had entered through a side entrance as soon as he was searching Joe. Colonel Wyatt has the report by now. He left the base and was heading back to the Coroner’s office to get a number to the Blood Lab. He was not going to give up on this so easy. He knew that there had to be another way. When he got back to the Coroner’s office, the police were there taking statements because of the assistant being held at gun point by the Detective. The Police Officers that were doing the interviewing were the two officers seen when he was talking to the Police Captain. He did not trust those two at all. He knew that either he needed to wait until they were gone or try to sneak in and talk to someone that could get the number for him.
