I watched as Paige sighed in defeat before she turned around and walked back to the front of the store. I had never been as relieved as I was the day, she confronted us about what she had experienced the day before. I was at first very scared to tell her considering that her reaction could be the end of not only our kind but the end of whatever bond we had, but I was also feeling the weight being pulled of my shoulders. To carry around this secret for so long and not being able to tell anyone about it, was so painful. I knew that people saw us as introverts who didn’t give a s**t about other people, but that was not like how we were. Before all of this, Felix was the nerdy one.
