Alice had said it like she was tired of fighting for everyone’s happiness but her own. And I just stood there, staring at her, because she was right.
And that’s what made me want to scream.
I turned the key of my car, ready to zoom off the hospital area. The engine roared to life and I drove. Everything that happened earlier laid heavily on my mind.
