Ara couldn't help but smile, but that smile didn't last long and immediately fade away when she remembered why they got so far away from each other now.
She can still remember Ace showered in his own blood after he got into a car accident months after they made their promise to each other.
She was so scared all she could ever do was cry.
He became comatose for months. Ara never failed to visit Ace everyday waiting for him to wake from his sleep so that they could be happy again. That they could still be a happy couple they wish to.
But she never knew that the day she ever wanted to happen would also be the day that would break her heart for when Ace woke up from the comatose, all he could ever remember was his name and his grandma who took good care of him.
He forgot all the moments he have of Ara. Even the recent happenings in his life that includes the promise rings they have.
Ara heard the doctor say something, but all she could ever understand from the doctor before was that Ace wouldn't be able to remember anything a day after his last memory.
