Emily sat down next Jennie as she said: pretty lady, you will be fine
Jacob stood there for a while before he said: Emily, let’s leave her to rest, then we can come back later
Emily said: no daddy, I want to stay with her,what if she wakes and needed something.
Jacob said: Emily, she can’t wake anytime soon, you haven’t taken your bath, let's do that so we can have dinner.
Emily pouted: I won't have dinner without her
Jacob smirks: yes, I know, you will come back.
Emily finally nodded as Jacob carried her and they walked out
It was past 10 pm when Jennie woke up she was so weak, that she struggled to get up, she still had a high temperature.
She walked slowly to to bathroom she was in there for a while.
She then came out and frowned when she saw Jacob
She said weakly as she held her Belle: you talk about manners, what if I was naked?
Jacob smirked: I thought you would still be asleep, umm, how are you feeling?
Jennie sat down on the bed: my Belle hurts
Jacob said: the doctor did a checkup, here are your drugs. You have to eat something and take the drugs.
Jennie smirked: my Belle feels like it would rip apart. I'm so uncomfortable
Jennie tugged on the Belle, and Jacob suddenly yelled: you are bleeding Jennie.
Jennie said: it's itching me
Jacob said: let me get the first aid box
Jennie smirked: It's not like you are even nice, thanks
Jacob walked out and he came back in a snap
Jacob said: Can I raise your top-up?
Jennie said: it's okay, yes
Jacob's heart beat fast as he raised it up.
His brain stopped working when he saw the scar
He didn't want to question her cause he knew she was sick.
He then helped her clean the wound and bandaged it. He helped her lie on the bed
Jennie groaned in pain
Jacob said: Jennie, if I may ask, how did you get hurt like that, it looks just like a surgery wound.
Jennie said: I had no idea
Jacob frowned: really? You had no idea how you got hurt like this. It's an old unhealed wound I guess.
Jennie said: umm, I need to rest now.
Jacob said: you have to eat and take your drugs.
Jennie said: oh, I forgot where is Emily?
Jacob said: I put her to sleep, I don't want her to disturb you.
Jennie said: thanks
Jacob nodded as he said: I Will be right back
Jennie smiled as she watched Jacob walk out. Jennie's heart melts as she feels some kind of connection with him
Her mind went back to the picture she saw in his room.
Her heart couldn't help but race even more
She said: what's wrong with you Jennie?
Jacob came back to the room with the chef as she saw them with the food
Jennie tried to sit up when Jacob rushed over to help her sit up.
Jacob said: Do your hands hurt too, or should I feed you?
Jennie smirked: thought you changed, I will feed myself, thank you.
Jacob said: okay. Make sure you take your drugs, I'm going to bed now.
Jennie said: alright, good night
Jacob said: Good night too

It's almost 12 am
Jacob got to his room as he couldn't help but recall on what just happened.
He flashed back to his wife
When she birthed Emily, it was surgery, and that's the same spot, he gulped down a glass of water as he said: this woman is mysterious, what is going on? I have to find out more.
The next day
Jacob woke up early to bathe Emily cause Jennie was sick, but to his surprise, Jennie was awake before him to dress Emily for school.
Jennie smiled: hey, good morning
Jacob said: Good morning, how are you feeling?
Jennie said: I'm fine now, guess the drugs worked wonders.
Jacob said: Good to hear
He looked at Emily as he said: Emily Daddy is off to work
Emily smiled: okay Daddy. Bye
Jacob smiled Back at her as he walked out
Jacob got into his car as his phone rang: I want you to find out information about Jennie Smith.
The other person at on the phone said: okay Sir, I will get back to you
Jacob said: make it fast
He got to his office and sat down and his mind was still elsewhere
He grabbed his phone as he was expecting the guys to call
He smirked as he stood up and just then his phone ranged
He said: hey, it took you forever
The person said: Hello sir, Jennie Smith has no background Sir, no traces
Jacob smirked: no traces, no family?
The person said: she had no family background in the investigation my colleagues did, she only has a friend whose name is Maria Williams
Jacob's heart struck: Maria?
The guy said: yes sir, that's the only person she's with, she has nobody else
Jacob hung up as he said: why did Jennie lie, if she had no family?
Maria Williams that's Jacob's ex-girlfriend before he got married to his wife
Jacob said: what is going on? Jesus, who is Jennie? And what does she have with Maria
What if this was Maria's plan again
Maria has caused so much trouble for Jacob in the past, he needs to find out more
Hours passed as Jacob went back home
When he saw Jennie his heart couldn't help but beat fast he looked away as he walked past her
Jennie knew already that's how he was so she couldn't take it to heart
He was only nice to her because she was sick.
Jennie finally smiled when she saw Emily, she hugged her tightly as she said: my Munchkin
Emily said: I miss you
Jennie smiled: I miss you too
Emily said: I don't want to go to school anymore
Jennie frowned: why?
Emily said: it's so tiring.
Jennie smiled: don't you want to become a lawyer anymore?
Emily said: I want to become a lawyer, yes, but
Jennie said: no buts, you have to study hard to become a lawyer. Okay so now end of the discussion, now let's go to your room and get a fresh bath.
Emily said: Carry me I so tired
Jennie smiled as she carried her into her arms
Jennie said: it's not I so tired, it's I am so tired
They both burst out laughing as they got to Emily's room.
Jacob was In his room, he said: I have to see Maria, aren't there anyway, there are two people in this world that bear the same name and surname.
He went to the window side as he said: Maria Williams, I hope she's not the one, it's been 4 years since we last saw! How did she and Jennie meet?
He then made his way downstairs as it was time for dinner, Emily and Jennie were already there, and he looked at Emily as he pecked her forehead. She was busy with her pasta, and Jennie was standing behind her
Jacob said: Jennie, won't you eat too?
Jennie said: I had mine already.
Jacob said: okay
Dinner finally ended, and Jennie carried Emily to her room to sing her a lullaby as usual.
Jacob was standing at the door entrance to Emily's room
He has never heard her sing for Emily before
His heart skipped when her heard the song.
This song sounds familiar, his wife always said she would sing this song to their daughter to make her fall asleep.
He walked towards his room slowly as he said: what's going on? Serena sings this too, Serena has that same wound.
He knew his mind was going crazy at the thought of this.
