Getting Unlost

I had never seen this part of the woods but I knew that we could figure out how to get out of this mess somehow. Peg had been up in the trees for a while trying to see something that would lead us anywhere we recognized but she hadn't seen anything but more trees.

As we continued to walk I thought I heard something in the distance, "Shhh.... Do you hear something? What is that?" I started running toward the sound and everyone followed close behind. I shouldn't have kept my pace and I knew I shouldn't have but I kept going.

I could smell something sweet and saw a beautiful cherry tree then realized that the sound was water right before we all slipped down a muddy slop and straight into a pond of water that was strangely warm.

The water was only around waste high but when I looked over at Cloud I could see him sinking further and further down so I grabbed a root coming out of the muddy wall and shouted, "Everyone link hands and start walking towards me! We're sinking in the mud and have to get out of here as fast as we can!"
