- 29 -All the cars looked alike because they were covered in at least four inches of snow. I was amazed at how quickly it had piled up. I finally found my Subaru and beeped it open. It gave a double beep, which I chalked up to hitting the unlock a second time. I found my snow brush and went to work while the car warmed up. I was pretty sure this was beyond what was considered a moderate snowstorm. Once inside the car I activated my phone and brought up the weather. The advisory had elevated to a storm warning, with snowfall at a rate of up to two inches an hour, combined with a nasty northeast wind, which could cause possible whiteout conditions. Good Lord.
