Rejection

Liliths POV

"This is my mother Caroline and father Daniel" William said pointing to his parents respectively. I shrugged my shoulders and sat in a chair and propped my feet up on the desk. William glared at me and knocked my feet off. "You're not my Alpha yet" I said passively and put my feet back on the desk. He growled as Caroline and Daniel held a golden dagger and chalice. William pulled me to my feet and put me in front of his father. "Dad make her a pack member first" William said and Daniel made a cut on my hand and his. "What's your full name dear?" Caroline asked. "Lilith Myers" I replied. Daniel pressed our palms together and said "I welcome Lilith Myers to Dark Moon pack" He said and I felt a sudden connection to everyone. I sat back in the chair and put my feet up again. Then Daniel and William went back and forth with a bunch of swearing, blah blah blah, then a strong gust of wind roared outside. Now William had a powerful aura emanating from him now. "Put your feet down!" William said in a deep tone. Suddenly I couldn't help but put my feet down. Well f**k. William smirked and I glared at him now he wouldn't need to threaten my mother I was literally compelled to obey him.

**3 months later**

Things at the pack house had calmed down some. There were wolves who were not happy about William's return. Even though he could command them like an Alpha it wouldn't stop them from leaving the pack. So William would bring them to me and I would hypnotize them into staying. My mom was now an omega who served William personally so her life wasn't totally in the clear. William made me hypnotize my mother as well so she wouldn't leave the pack as well. I was a warrior so I trained a lot and started to make friends with some of the warriors. I felt really guilty though because I had to hypnotize most of them into staying. We were going to have a meeting with William tonight for the next step in his plan.

We entered a conference room where William was sitting in his chair. He motioned for me to stand next to him. "What's going on Alpha?" one of the guards asked. "I have met my mate and I want to bring her back to us however it's going to have be secret because her family won't approve" William said. "Why won't the approve Alpha? Do they not believe in the mate bond?" another guard asked. "You could say that." William replied with a shrug of his shoulders. Then in his Alpha tone he commanded all the warriors to look me in the eyes. Once they did I let my eyes go back and I opened the hypnosis connection and waited for Williams instructions. He leaned towards my ears and whispered what he wanted me to say. "You will follow William's orders for his plan to get his Luna no questions asked or complaints." I said and all their heads nodded slowly and I let the connection drop. "Lilith you're dismissed" William said and I left the room. I went to my mothers room and collapsed on the bed.

"What's up my love?" Mom asked. "s**t head is up to something." I said. "When isn't he? What's he doing now?" Mom asked. "I don't know he dismissed me before he started his plans. All I know is that he's after his Luna" I said. Mom nodded her head and went back to folding her clothes. "Mom, what's a mate?" I asked her. Mom took a deep breath and tilted her head to the side. "Well a mate is your literal soul mate" Mom started. "When we're born it's almost as if we only have half a soul then when wolves turn eighteen they are able to meet their mate, some right away others have to wait to find their mate." Mom added. "However when you do finally meet them, your soul is finally complete and whole. Once they have mated and marked each other they can mind link each other and feel each others emotions." She continued. "Do you have a mate mom?" I asked. Her breath hitched a little before she spoke again. "I did, I was an omega when I turned eighteen. After my first shift I went to start my cleaning duties when I smelled the most delicious scent in my entire life I followed it and met my mate who was about to ascend to the alpha position." She explained. I could see tears starting to build in her eyes and I put a hand on hers. Once I did I felt like all the air was sucked out of my body and all of a sudden I was being thrusted into the past.

I saw my mom walking the halls of a large house with her eyes darting around constantly as if looking for something. "What is that scent?" She asked herself. Soon she was standing in front of a door and placed her hands on it and took a deep breath. 'Our mate is in there' I heard a voice say in my moms head. Mom knocked on the door and waited to be told to enter. When she did there was a young man in their with an older man and woman. I heard the young man growl and say "Mine!" before my mother was pinned to the wall. The young mans nose was buried into her neck as he took deep inhales of her scent. "Louis! Step away from her this instant!" the older woman shrieked in what was a tone of authority. The young man stepped away with what looked like pain on his face. The older man spoke in what I now know as an Alpha tone. "You will both reject each other as mates and accept each others rejection!" His voice boomed.

The young man with tears in his eyes turned to my mother "I, Jonathan Pennington, future Alpha of the Rising Moon Pack reject you, Sylvia Myers, as my mate and future Luna." It felt like someone shoved a hundred ice picks through my heart as my mother stuttered out "I accept your rejection." Then after a few moments the pain dissipated. Then My mother repeated the words and I saw the young man fall to his knees in pain and roared and the building shook. He finally accepted the rejection and finally stood back up with wobbly legs. My mother turned and ran from the room and back to her and packed a bag. Then she ran to the border of the pack lands and took a deep breath. She took a step outside of the territory and said "I, Sylvia Myers, release my bond with the Rising Moon Pack and am now classified as a non-violent rogue." In my mind it felt like a tree branch snapped and she walked away.

I was back in the present and gasping for air. My mom was looking at me concerned and was wiping away tears from my face. "I saw it all momma, I saw what that asshole alpha and b***h luna did to you and Jonathon. I saw you cut ties with the pack, everything." I said pulling her into a bone crushing hug. "Well there's one more power to add you the list." She chuckled and I joined in.
