At the castle large, towering dinning hall, of an ornated ceiling with paintings of the previous rulers of the Humane kingdom, side by side. Painted directly above the king and the princess, having their breakfast on a long dinning table, Randall took a golden cup filled with wine and gulped it down, dropped it back then stared at his daughter having both hands wrapped with blue clothes reaching to her elbow. “Wren, if the cooks were still in this world, this food would have been the more tastier who I'm I kidding it will be sweetest food you have ever tasted,” he pointed out, Wren raised her face up and smiled then she continued her food. Randall was partially stunned because he'd knew how Wren mostly talks about wishing to eat the cook's meal and knowing everything of their secret ingredients and their way of life. Randall cleared his throat, “Hummm, Wren, what’s wrong?” Randall asked, “and how was your night, my dear?” Wren looked at her father with a smile, “My night... My night was... good, it was good... Father.” she stammered, “Was good?” he asked, steading his eyes contact and a raised eyebrows, Wren put her hand on her chest, brooding about the strange phenomenal feelings in her life, suddenly, someone came in. The King looked at the direction of the door at that he smiled, “Morning Lord--” That was the last thing Wren heard before she specifically mulled over what happened last night. - Flashback about what happened last night at the castle. On the princess’s majestic bed, Wren turned while smiling in her sleep, suddenly, she woke up, touching her chest as her heart increasingly beat. What’s wrong again, why does my heart keep beating increasingly without knowing the very cause? she wondered, “was I smiling?” she asked herself, touching her lips then rubbed her face, all of a sudden she heard an intact crash of thunder from a distant outside her window, she looked at her large window, stood up, walked towards it and opened it wide, for some moments she stared ahead the streets and corners of the Humane cities, noticed a bright light glowing from one part of the street. “I need to clear my head,” she said, looking down to the ground, which was full of flowers her Father happily tendered. She sighed, stood beside her bed, gazing at the beautiful dress hanged on the big wardrobe then she glanced at the black cloak hanging comfortably on a golden rack near her big wardrobe. She went to it, touched it and wore it, “Here goes nothing,” she said, walked to the large window as the cool breeze of the night blew to her through the large window then she put on her hood while she descended sharply and steeply with that she landed on the ground in the midst of the flowers. This was no small feet. From the ground to her room large window was almost twenty feet high. She looked up, “Hope Father won’t be mad,” she whispered, suddenly, a shadowy figure jumped to hit her from behind however she dodged it as she somersaulted over the person’s head, The person turned to looked her, in the shadows. “This is a restricted area,” the person voiced. Wren was not recognized by the person in the shadows because she was wearing the black cloak with a hood over her head which was given by one of her trusted handmaids. Wren squinted at the figure in the shadows while closing her cloak together. “Leave here unless you will be executed!” the person threatened, Wren narrowed her eyes, spotted a cape swaying behind the figure then she grinned and thrusted out her chest, Let’s see if the Royal Guards are strong enough. She thought, held her fist towards the person in the shadows, “What if I stay?” Wren teased in another voice, the person stepped out of the shadow, as the crescent shaped moon above revealed the person, Wren widened her eyes. A woman? Is she the new Royal Guard the handmaids were talking about? She wondered. The cape color blue behind her revealed, she is one of the escort, mainly for the princess and second to the Royal Guards of Green capes. The woman was about seven feet tall wearing her full armour, her blue cape over her back, gallantly swaying to the left side by the breeze without her helmet on, showing her short red hair as she spoke in a man's tone. The woman looked up to the princess's window, clenched her fist on both side, “You flew down from the princess’s room and you decided to blow your cover,” she walked another step closer to Wren. “You will regret coming here or doing something to the princess,” she growled. Wren smirked, “If I were you, I will alarm everyone that an intruder is here,” Wren said. The woman giggled, “Trust me, am enough to stop you,” she flattered herself then without warning she charged towards Wren as her eyes glinted. The woman punched Wren but she blocked it with her two arms put across her chest, with the force slamming her to the wall, the impact cracked the castle wall as Wren could fell her bones in her arms been crushed, she grunted as she landed, blood slowly dripped out from her nose, the princess noticed it, her eyes widened then she smiled and cleaned it with her hand, “It seems your potency is strength,” Wren mocked, the woman came closer, “It seems also, your potency is dying hard because that single punch I gave you was meant to knock down ten men at once,” the woman bragged, “am impressed, a single boy like you withstand my punch.” “I’m not a boy,” “Then who are you!” the woman cried, charging towards Wren, on reaching her, the woman spin herself for a kick but Wren dodged her by weaving her kick and moved to her back, the woman eyes lit up, She is fast. She thought as her kick hit the wall, behind her, Wren immediately, jumped, stretched her leg and successfully kicked the woman’s neck, with a loud whoosh thinking it will stun her, but to Wren amazement she talk, “Who trained you boy for dodging my kick?” She questioned, “Because you are not meant to dodged that.” She removed her leg from the wall while Wren removed her leg from the woman's neck as she jumped down while stepping back, “You know, you are too proud to be a Royal Guard.” Wren reasoned, the woman turned towards Wren, “Are you calling me proud. The potency I possess is the womanly manner of courage, determination and compassion.” The woman said holding her fist in the air, Wren chuckled, “Compassion.” She mocked, then stormed at the woman, kicking and punching her way through her defense, the woman dodged some and blocked some hit, eventually Wren landed a huge blow on the woman’s jaw, which caused a partial shock wave to their surroundings, Wren smirked as the woman staggered back holding her jaw then she rubbed it and stared at Wren, “Now boy. Am serious.” she told as her eyes scowled at Wren. Wait what? Wren thought, before she could react, the woman dashed to her front, kicked both lower legs of Wren this made her lost her ground while on the air, the woman punched Wren's stomach. the princess grunted smashing her to the ground then the blue caped royal guard trampled on Wren over and over again making the princess to forcefully digged the ground with her body each time the royal guard trampled on her, Wren held her hood over her head to cover her face while she was being trampled upon, then she smirked. So this is how strong the Royal Guards can be. Can't wait to fight with all of them at once. Wren thought, then she dodged and rolled between the woman's legs, she noticed that, held Wren's leg and dragged her back to her front, Wren still holding her hood over her head, kicked the Royal Guard stomach but it had no effect on her, the woman returned it by punching the princess, Wren shielded her punch with a kick as the flowers around them uprooted away by the force of the impact. The woman was confused as she stopped, “What kind of boy are you?” She asked, “What are you?” the woman folded her other fist, as Wren jerkily stood up with one hand on her hood and the other holding her stomach, she glanced at the woman as blood run down from her nose. “I'm a lady that will one day... ” she stated but interrupted by the woman fist swinging to her face, with that sudden encounter, Wren gracefully avoided it by regressing her body, stretched her hand upward at that moment she made an ice out from the ground, immediately, freezing the woman's hand from the ground and her both legs while Wren's other hand stretched out to the woman's face as an icy spike formed out of her hand slowly, “What! It can be,” the woman said in amazement, as the icy spike continued to grow, pointing straight to her left eye, she rolled her eyes to the ice on her hand and legs then at Wren, suddenly, they heard the sound of thunder, slowly her hood fell from her head to her back, revealing who she was. The woman seeing the glowing blue ruby attached in her tiara while on Wren's plaited hair and partially seeing her smiling face. “My Princess!” she said, shockingly.
