Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! It echoed through the castle—It's frozen walls shook to the ground—the distinct echoes was unaltering been heard by the distressed royal guards in yellow capes outside the frozen castle and each and every humanes at their homes all over the kingdom were overcome by awe. “Hey, Luna it’s no use,” Beth said exhaling cool vapors inside the frosty air in the princess's room, gently touching Luna’s armored back. Beth stared at Wren inside the unshaken, unpenetrable block of ice, the princess already was motionless with her eyes tightly closed looking as if she was fast asleep—the walls and floors were still freezing but much faster than before; her mirror cracked then melted all the way to the bottom due to the extremely low temperature generated by Wren inside the unscratchable block of ice—The remaining royal family in the room left one after the other for the reason that they could be like the melting mirror if care is not taken as Beth allowed them out of the room by making a path way from her barrier. After they were gone she closed it back in contrast to that Luna kept on pounding the unshaken block of ice while exhaling and inhaling cold vapors. ... Abbey, without shaken by the sounds Luna was making. He just stared out to the frozen kingdom through the frozen window. June rolled her eyes to Abbey still in thoughts of what they discussed about earlier: What actually happened between Jared and Abbey? In confronting him. Abbey didn't say a word not until he turned and replied in a way it felt a little enlivened; "Not everyone will have the opportunity to follow you to the fountain of your inspiration but the cup of cold or hot water offered at the first impression clearly declares the source it streams from." --“Hey! Rookie!” the commander yelled at Luna, “Didn’t you hear Lady Beth's words!” Luna gave the block of ice one last hit as it bruises her knuckles then scowled at the commander in a way that Beth herself gasped—the commander widened her eyes; A rookie staring at the commander with such intensity is drawn to provoke her superiors. “Rookie who do you think you are looking at with that eyes?” She questioned trying to control her emotions under those glares of Luna's then she walked closer to the rookie as she stared down to her. The handmaids stood still at the other side of the bed staring at princess in the block of ice not minding what was going on around them then June turned her face to them wondering what was going on but Abbey still in his position with his I-don't-care attitude still staring outside the frozen huge window now with a folded arms. Luna rose her body and fully faced her superior, she was more taller and bulkier that the commander and her bleeding knuckles just as blood dripped down—before touching the ground it instantly froze into a red crystal. “What’s your name?” the commander asked the same manner she asked Skylark earlier but Luna ignored her—she stood still while she scowled at the commander. “Fine if you can’t answer don’t mind if I force it out of you.” The commander said walking more closer to Luna releasing small red orange dots from her eyes—this was the commander's potency: when in contact with the red orange dots it tends to suck any essence of life from it contactor. Not until both sides were blocked by Beth’s invisible barrier as June made the red orange dots from the commander’s eyes from moving using her potency of time. Abbey sidelooked Beth. Producing another barrier inside a barrier, she is getting better in using her potency. He thought. “That’s enough. What’s wrong with you two? The princess is right here and standing before you, a Divine Humane and Lord Abbey!” Beth uttered—the commander blinked as her red orange dots dispersed then she shook her head, also wondering what had come over her. Luna unclenched her fists. Then the commander kneeled as her armour clanked on the frozen floor creating a few cracks. “Forgive me Lord Abbey, Lady June and Lady Beth, for I have sin against you beings. I will take full responsibility in any punishment given.” The Commander declared. June sighed. “Don’t worry… “ “Luna?” someone called but it was the voice Luna would never forget not in hundreds of years. Her eyes dilated as she turned while Beth, June and the commander looked at the direction of the voice. “Princess!” she went to Wren on her bed as the unpenetrable block of ice was halfway melted on her body. “Thank goodness you are alright.” Beth added while the commander stared at her hands, still confused, what just happened to her? Did she just lost her emotion over a rookie?—she then stared at the now elated handmaids with the princess. “Seriously, speaking who are these handmaids?” After, she glanced at Abbey— Not saying anything about the princess being free from her slumber but stared out of the huge now melting window frame. What is actually going on in here? . . . The city of bounty hunters was in chaos as many beings gathered around trying to see from the thick black smoke erupting from a huge hole in front of them where the green light appeared earlier, to see what was going on but non dared to come any closer than this for it was the shop of the bounty collector—the king of the area—some bounty hunters perceived the black smoke was from Frankenstein’s underground lab since he himself apologied to everyone in the city about destroying his lab twice before. “What was that green light, just now?” someone randomly asked within the bystanders, surprisingly Dante was behind that someone, also observing the outcome of the scene in front of him. “I don’t know; maybe Sir Frankenstein's doings again?” “Such bright light it was so clear even in the day I could vividly see it. that. was. magnificent!” “Behold, someone is coming from the smoke!” an old man yelled, staring at the left side of the bounty collector shop which was near to the huge hole, everyone looked at what the old man did say as many of the prisoners from the bounty collector shop came running out of the smoke as they coughed, one of the prisoner stopped and squinted to the harsh sun above, tears of joy flow down his cheeks indeed he was joyful for the day as finally come to be out and free from the hand of the bounty collector not a little remorse from him or from the other prisoners for ditching Lazarus and Jared. He kneeled, lowered his head and kissed the ground while muttering to himself. - Inside the now scorching underground, where Sniffia was kept, she was on the ground with her eyes shut as she slowly heard a grunting voice above her then she opened her eyes slowly. Node with his top jacket torn in shreds and his queue hairstyle fully scattered around his head, bleeding from the cut on his forehead and few scratches on his arms and neck as he was on top of Sniffia with the damaged room door on his back, it looked as though he was guarding her from the impact earlier. She gasped. “You’re… welcome.” He strained grunted slightly rose his upper body up then the door slid from his back to the ground, “ugh, that will leave a mark.” Node staggeringly stood up then stretched his hand to Sniffia, she stared at his hand for some seconds and stood up by herself ignoring Node’s help, “Thank you,” she said walking out of the room, while staring at the two little girls unconscious on the floor with their elongated neck back to normal, ignoring what caused the explosion earlier, she continued. “Quick we don’t have much time, show me where Peirce is?” Node gently folded his hand, it shows on his bleeding face he was slightly vexed by Sniffia then he turned with a smile. “Alright. I will. But are we ignoring the explosion we experienced earlier?” He said walked to Sniffia leading the way to Peirce then he staggered, Sniffia went to him for support, “ha. You do care.” He whispered. Inside Frankenstein’s lab, the roof was completely torn off and the walls, floors were destroyed without recognition, Peirce still on the fuming scorched, half melting darkened metallic bed while his skinny brown body was fuming also— the molten clamps on his wrist easily broke. He then dropped to the ground with one kneel and a hand on the darkened ground then his eyes glowed green and off in that same manner. He stood up scanning the destruction he unknowingly did to the lab then he spotted Frankenstein smashed in the wall while holding tight his strange screen and emitting steam from his body. Suddenly, Sniffia while holding Node up to his feet as he rested on Sniffia’s well-muscled shoulders at the door way where she stopped staring at Peirce. “Peirce?!” she called in a soft tone, Peirce instantly looked at her direction, “Sniffia?” he called back as he stood still so confused about how the whole area got to this? and second why is Sniffia and Node here? and did they really escaped from the bounty collector and Sheik? Sniffia immediately, tear up staring at Peirce with a sniff for some moment, seeing him still alive was a great joy for her, Node felt ignored then he looked at the destruction of the lab glanced at Frankenstein in the wall then back at Peirce guessing he’d done it since no one was here except these two. “Peirce... did you do this?” he asked to be sure of his doubts, Peirce looked at Node after, he widened his eyes looked around wasn’t sure if he was the one but looking at Frankenstein not moving and he was the only one standing that means… ... Suddenly, chains thrusted out of Sniffia’s belly from behind as blood splattered to the ground before Node could turn his weakened body back to who did it, a single chain hit him as he hurled to the wall on the other side. Peirce with a widened eyes opened his mouth wide, this feeling, this same scene... he had seen it before. Yes... he definitely has… that same way... was how Vanilla died in his arms, he stared directly as Sniffia as she slowly fell down with her face first to the darkened ground, her blond hair slowly soaked in red. So in the end he could not protect another friend. Could not! Could not! You Couldn’t protect a friend once again! Those words pierced through his heart as though someone visible was near him yelling to his ears. “Killing you off is the best I could do as for me I hated…“ Sheik said as he moved out from the shades behind. But Peirce was not moving as someone being glued to the ground he stared at Sniffia fully drenched in her own blood on the ground motionless—the words kept shouting in his mind then he slowly lifted his arm towards Sniffia, “What could you do. Don't be a fool. She is dead and there is nothing you can do about it. Her death was paid in full." “You… You… You will never live to see the next day!!” Peirce boomed. “Eh?” Sheik removed the chains from Sniffia body revealing six huge round hole in her back, “most of the time, beings I fought eventually got killed by me anyways, they compel to take revenge. Saying you will pay for this and that. Ha! Boy choose your words wisely.” Sheik immediately stretched his hand to Peirce as the chains immediately went to him in a twinkle of an eye it evaporated into nothing before reaching raging Peirce, Sheik widened his eyes realizing his nearly indestructible chains becoming metal ashes just after it neared... this freak! “What the?! You—” Peirce instantly went to his front. With immerse speed that could not be measured. Before Sheik could react, Pierce swung his skinny arm directly below his chin as green glowing essence of fist-like arm came forth directly hitting Sheik, squashing his jaw tightly to his teeth causing few of them, displacing as the ground beneath shook into large crater. Dammit! This kid isn’t just bluffing. I’m totally done for. Sheik thought on his way to his death. The green glowing fist forcefully pushed Sheik above the ground while the ground beneath him slowly cratered larger and larger in size. Node continued to watch the horrifying scene while strained grunting on the floor as the effect of the scene strongly blew his hair around then he stared at Sniffia’s drenched body, he was totally stunned and terrified. Meanwhile Lazarus with Jared were fighting the bounty collector, he shoved his fat hand towards Jared as he dodged Lazarus stepped on Jared’s back leaped to the bounty collector swinging his glowing wrist reaper on both hands on hitting him, the bounty collector was quick as fat as he was he looked nothing like a slow being. He punched Lazarus back as he crashed hard through a prison cell. “Don’t think you can ever escape from here.” The bounty collector said while his fist still in the air, Lazarus laughed. “Seriously aren’t you ashamed of yourself. Fighting an hungry, tired man?” he said pointing his glowing black wrist reaper at Jared while in front of the bounty collector, “and fighting a half dead man. Do you know how many experiments I have to go through in Frankenstein’s lab? Don’t push your luck Fatty. All you do was to sit your fat ass down here each day and devoured every single meal on your table… You wimpy gomer.” Lazarus taunted while still on the smashed prison cell. “Oh? How amusing you still have the gut to talk in that situation,” he stared into Jared, “at least one is humble enough to just stand still.” Jared exhaled, side glanced at Lazarus from behind, “Old man?” “Huh? Me. Hey! who are you calling an old man. I’m at least a year older than you! s**t!” Lazarus yelled. Ignoring what Lazarus said, Jared continued. “When all this is over, please can you take care of the only girl who we both came here together? And since you are also an Inhumane could you also guide the two Inhumane kids back to their village. I, Jared Airbrock the Divine hum--” “Hey! I’m Lazarus the reaper or the shadow Inhumane who do you think you’re ordering around, scar face.” Lazarus said. “I know who you are; the only being of your kind known as the shadow Inhumane who many feared by wreaking havoc on all kingdoms, fighting the strongest to test his strength, once fought my King during the fourth kingdoms war and lived and who in many minds is known as the strongest Inhumane they ever face. All this alone are the reason you are the number one contender in keeping the girl safe and sound.” Inhumanes are beings with the Grace to glow on their bodies with few having different type of benefits. Like the Node’s family having the ability to make anything they cook sweet. And Lazarus having the ability to manipulate his glowing into anything that comes in mind. For now that is the little information you know about them. “Oo~ you do know me well.” Then he pointed his glowing wrist reaper to the bounty collector as he stomped to where his shattered carcasses’ throne was. “Look that love handles is running away.” The bounty collector scoffed then swept away the remnant of the carcasses punched through the concreted floor and brought out a huge hammer, turned and placed it on his shoulder, making a crater on the ground he stood. “Looking scared?” he asked staring directly to Jared. The heavy metal head hammer was huge with many scratches and holes on it's body caused by the fiercely fights that pushed him way up to the top as the position of a king in the city, Jared staring at his weapon. He’d perceived the stains of blood and some unknown substance on the hammer’s iron body would be from the last battle he fought believing it was a beast animal. Jared cleaned his dried mouth and said: “No, I’m only thirsty.”
