Under the twinkling stars reflecting on the large and lavishly ornamented but liquefied residence of the Humanes. Every royal assistant and the citizens themselves were up cleaning and mopping the areas of their homes and streets that were filled with the princess's melted ice around. The floors of the palace which includes each walls and windows of every room over a hundred if one would count were been mopped and cleaned while few of the princess's handmaids helped Wren in her recovery as she rested her back on a new bed with a blanket covering more than half of her body—was she feeling cold or sick? No, but she was just taken care of by everyone in the room. The remaining handmaids cleaned the melted ice on her room with the weird looking commander supervising them as the room was heavily guided by the blue caped royal guards, she glared at Abbey looking through the window without minding her at any means. “Abbey. If you think I was being attacked or spelled, it was all wrong. I’m fine and--” Wren said before she got interrupted. “Forgive me, my Princess. I am less concerned with you right now. But I’m forever glad you are okay.” He said while still looking through the window then faced Wren just as his pony tail sways around following the wind coming from the window. “Allow me to reach a certain place. I have an urgent task to take care of. My presence shall be witnessed soon.” He bid before taking off in a flash of lightning. Everyone in the room kept silent until few seconds later. “What a weirdo.” Luna broke in. “Shush. He might still hear you.” Beth warned. “Oh, please. Once he’s gone, he’s gone.” Jane added. The princess put on a half smirk then she held her head and her chest. “I feel a little joy… and my heart beats are… “ She whispered to herself. “Any problem, my princess?” Luna asked. “Nothing… “ then she remembered what she dreamt or she could call it a trance about floating within a void then appearing at the extremely frozen territory, her reflections looking as though it was talking to her about-- Immediately rose her eyes to Luna. “Where can we find the four Humanes of short nature?” “Humanes of short nature?... They... might... Uhmmm… I will look for them, my princess.” Luna bowed then dashed outside without looking back. “Good.” Wren smiled. “Who are this so called Humanes of short nature.” June asked curiously, the commander sidelooked at the princess also puzzled never as she seen a Humane of short nature but she believed there were once stories of mythical creatures that were small in heights but ever great in spell crafting what did they called them again?... Yeah, the 'Elves' "Hmm… There is a reason... Before telling you, I also need some simplifications about this matter that's keep going through my head ever since I met them .“ Wren sighed deeply. The princess, herself had to be sure of her ways to be able to deal with the things her young mind needed more help in knowledge and understanding. “Is… is something still bothering you my princess?” Beth asked, gently. All what her thoughts were still about the settlement offer between the Nymphs and the kingdom. The princess understood what she meant as she shook her head. “Nothing. Nothing like that. It seems this time is about a certain boy... And I felt the closeness in meeting this boy.” “Boy?!” Everyone stopped what they were doing including the handmaids for they were stunned by Wren's word—from afar frozen objects broke from the shock. They all knew the princess was a lover of war stories, world peace and anything that had exchanging of fists in it, never minding the ladies way of life. However hearing her words about this 'Boy' means he must be someone special wherever he might be. Everyone after the stunning experience, instantly murmured to each other. “Is my princess seeing someone? I guess he's from one of the royal families.” "How lucky the boy is?" "I'm sensing O'good love story here!" “Who can’t that be?” "Love is strange, I tell you." "I rest my case." Wren blinked by their responses. “Oh my bubbles. Don’t misunderstood me. This is for the benefit of the world." With her words yet again Everyone stopped and were totally speechless also from afar a frozen ice broke this time more louder than before. “Benefit… world… I’m sorry to say but as the princess—” Commander said about moving towards the princess. “Let's hear her out.” Jane said as Beth nodded at Wren with an absolute attention towards the princess, instantly all eyes were on her. Wren suddenly felt pressured by their stares. Gosh... I shouldn't have opened my mouth the first place. She said to herself. The blue caped royal guards guarding the princess's room allowed someone in. “Commander!” Everyone looked at the direction including pressured Wren. “The injured one as being healed.” “Alright. You may go back to your post. And no swimming this time.” The commander commanded. He flinched, “Ye, commander. I’m grateful.” He said, slowly looked at the pressured princess on her bed and bowed. “Is good to see the princess is of good health. Please excuse me I will be on my way “ he said about going. “Wait!” Wren yelled, remembering the face of Skylark among the three guys who tried to assault the four Humanes of short nature. This will be a good chance to make all attentions directed to me to be nullified. You will be my sacrifice. Nice, This is how Father must have felt at the garden, well can't blame him. Like Father like Daughter. She thought with a menacing smile on her face. Everyone were surprised except the handmaids only going back to their work as the person flinched. “What’s your name?” The princess asked in order. “Uhmmm… I go by the name Lekan Skylark from the Beast kingdom… my princess… I’m forever grateful for the King of Humanes to take us in without any trouble… I—” “Enough of that. What surprising… “ Wren rose out from her bed as the commander, Beth and June tried stopping her to go back. Skylark bowed down. “No I’m fine. I just need to confirm something or someone.” She said, walked up to Skylark. After fully confirming the two opening on his armour located at his back would definitely means he was one of them. She smirked. “Raise your face.” Skylark flinched then swallowed. Is the princess of opposite to that of the king’s decision for taking we the Beast kingdom in? Or have I been snitched by the commander? He slowly raised his face. Glimpsed at Wren's blazing blue eyes then instantly looked away. Why she smiling...? I'm done for. He swallowed. “Hmm. I never knew you’re this obeying.” Wren said. “I like it.” “Did you know him from somewhere, my princess?” The commander asked. “Well... Yeah I saw him at the…” She stopped. Gosh I've forgotten, I shouldn’t let them know my night trip to the Entity night market. “Well. I once saw him at the castle.” “... But my princess this is my first time entering the castle... ” He murmured to himself. “Are you saying the princess is lying?!” The commander asked in anger. Crap! She heard me. From there?! Skylark mused over. Now I can kiss my efforts to the top goodbye. I’m so sorry mother even the Divine Humanes can’t have a say in this if the princess dismissed me right now. “No don’t worry. I might have mistaken him for another person.” Really?! Skylark thought. Good grief. Yet again I’m safe. “Lekan Skylark.” “Y-Yes, my princess.” “I hereby name you as my personal royal guard.” Skylark eyes expanded. I’m I hearing it right?! Slowly Skylark raised his eyes, the commander stepped in. Skylark could see the eyes of the commander boring deeply into him, he felt rejected then instantly lowered his eyes back. “My princess, I would have had no compunction or whatsoever but this young man here have a long way to go in taking responsibilities as your personal royal guard. I have many royal guards who truly fit in and personally do more than what you ask for, even putting their lives on the line is the beginning of their loyalty.” The commander exhorted. Wren smirked. “I know the duties of the Humanes royal guards ever since they were authorized. Right?” She asked Skylark. “… but, my princess?... “ The commander stressed then June touched her armoured shoulder and slightly shook her head. The commander blinked, lowered her eyes then glazed at Skylark. “Thank you for understanding, commander," Wren said, "he will be personally responsible for my safety from henceforth.” Wren said as she went back to her bed. “Isn’t it, Lekan Skylark? This also includes doubling your income, working hours and the way you live your life. Are you up for it?” Skylark eyes immediately watered. “What did I do to deserve this?... “ His voice cracked. Everyone’s eyes slightly dilated. Wren scratched her left eye feeling sorry. Have I gone too far? She thought. “Well if you don’t want it, I will be—” “No, my princess! I truly appreciate the offer and I need it not want it. If it is to take care of my family. I will. Even I didn’t see this kind of thing coming. The things I’ve done doesn’t even quantify me to be your personal royal guard but now that this direct order is coming from you, the princess of the Humanes. I’m forever grateful. I will give my life to this commission. My princess!” He bowed his head to the ground. "Well, that. I'm glad. " The princess stated while June and Beth smirked. Suddenly Luna came in breathing hard then she stared to the princess on her bed seems as though she ran here while carrying the four Humanes: one on her armoured back, two on her armoured shoulders hands and the last one around her neck, she slowly and gently dropped each one down. “I… I… welcome the Humanes of short nature… “ She gasped a little sweaty on her face. Wren smirked looking at the newly personal royal guard. But to Lekan Skylark, it’s as if a bomb crashed deep into his heart sweating out his fear and a dilated eyes with a lowered face, Luna walked to the princess passing the slightly shivering Skylark then she placed her mouth closer to the princess’s right ear. “I’m lucky I saw them at the same location we met at the corner of the alley, saying they're excepting me and I was a little bit earlier than his foresight which was told by Ensure.” Wren nodded then she smirked at the four Humanes of short nature. “Is good to see you, gentlemen.” “We also, my princess,” Stare said as he bowed. “We came as we were told, my princess.” Eye said after. “Before you say anything, my princess,” Ensure said, “The future I see is… “ “Is about the boy, isn’t it?” “Yes, but there is more to it that meets the eye.” Ensure said as he took few steps forward, “the future I see, is full of flames, blood, hatred, darkness—befalling this kingdom and all. Family against family, friends against friends, Love against hate, Fate against will, lies against truth—” Ensure looked around as he spoke. “The future is a place of many moments yet to be experienced in a way to get one to be in their toes of what would happened and won’t. if one doesn’t make a choice or works towards a good future in life does that mean it will end bad? No. It’s fate, misfortune, will, bad or good memories towards living, happened to them all. what it takes to stand, we brace for grace.” Then he looked at Luna. “I’m sorry for your loss.” Luna blinked without saying a word. “Also. Fate sometimes reveals reasons to become, it also reveals free will and choice, yet time and chances happens to them all.” Eye added. “Sorry for asking, are you by any means called the Revealer.” June anxiously asked because there was only one Humane who dictates the future to you, if you are called and to her that Humane could be standing right in front of her. The commander narrowed her eyes also feeling to ask this same thing. The four Humanes of short nature looked at June then Regard nodded. Everyone eyes widened excluding Wren and the handmaids. For Wren doesn’t understand what it meant. She turned her eyes to Beth. "Who is the Revealer?" Wren asked.
