Looking behind me, I saw two men in dark navy robes. It looked to be made of silk or satin, whichever one was more expensive. The one on the right was short and had skin like copper. His head was shaved but he had a small goatee going on.
The other one had pearl-like skin and hair that was salt and pepper color kept in a single braid going down their back. They were tall and both had their heads held high. As if we and this whole thing were beneath them. The way they prostrated themselves made my teeth grind. I didn’t like people like this.
“Yes. It would seem we missed all the fun.” The shorter one said. Jonathan stood in front of me and slightly bowed to the two men.
“Hello, James. Hello Lucas. Thank you for coming.”
