Hearing Gwen’s story, I wasn’t sure what to think. I was confused and unsure how to feel. There were a few things that I was sure of.
Natalie and Gwen are the most amazing people ever. They risked everything to help save my family. Mary truly was either stupid, blinded by love, or just plain evil. How could Natalie and Gwen see right through Thomas but Mary didn’t? Maybe if Mary had spoken up, my mom and dad would be alive.
What I wanted to know at this moment, was why the council completely ignored the warnings? My father and Natalie both went to the council for help. The council outright denied them all because they didn’t have ‘proof’. Isn’t someone's testimonial enough to at least start an investigation?
