Maria I did it! I officially finished college. I hope you are proud of me, mama. I looked up at the sky, hoping my mother was looking down at me with smiles. I can now apply at different schools, teach children the value of a dollar, and teach them life lessons. I watched as many of my classmates had their families here with them. A pain ripped through me, but I did my best to smile. "Congratulations, Maria! I'm so proud of you." Elaine said, hugging me. When she released me from her hug, I spotted Tommy and Tony walking over. Tommy was carrying a bouquet of roses, and Tony's eyes were once again scanning Elaine up and down. Tommy placed the roses in my arms, planting a kiss on my cheek. "Congratulations, Maria."
