Standing in front of us when we turned who barged into the office were Dave, his mom, Sylvia, Claire, and Whitney.
I was surprised to see them here, especially Whitney.
Why was Whitney here? Was she their relative? Or did Nick invite them over?
I thought so too until I turned to look at Nick and his Mom only to see them with shocked looks on their faces too.
So if they didn’t invite them over how did they know we came to sign our marriage certificates? Were they spying on us?
If yes, then just what was I getting myself into?
Or was this a sign that I should back down from this contract and find a way to pay Nick the money he had spent on us so far?
