Chapter 24 ON THE RUN AGAINIt was a very cold early Saturday morning, when they left the château's grounds. Pablo's fingers felt numb, and he shivered so much he had difficulty inserting the key into the Citroen's ignition. After several tries the car started, and he let it idle a few minutes to warm up. He looked for the heater control, but amid all the buttons on the dashboard gave up, eager to begin their trip, and resigned himself to the chill. But at least it had stung him fully awake.
