Episode 12

ALINA Dinner was overwhelming. I met so many pack members who looked happy that their Alpha had found his mate and others who pretended to be happy. To them, I’m a rogue and most packs don’t want rogues in their territory. Understandably so. Eventually, Rex had pulled me away from the chaos and to a quiet sitting room near the kitchen with a roaring fireplace, a small TV, and large windows that brought in the moonlight. He pulled me onto his lap and rested his chin on my shoulder. “I know tonight was a lot for you, but did you have fun?” I settled closer to him and stole a glance at his muscular arms wrapped around me. I nodded before he noticed. “Almost everyone seems accepting. There were some that I knew they wouldn’t want me there, but they were trying to be nice.” “They’ll come around. They know what happens if they don’t.” Rex squeezed his arms letting out a low growl. “You’re an angry person.” I giggled. “I am protective of my mate and that’s you.” Rex smiled and booped my nose. “I would hope so, otherwise I came here for nothing. It was my wolf’s idea actually. I was against it because I didn’t want to bring the rogues to you.” I began to play with his hair, running my fingers through his thick strands. “You will be Luna someday. It’s this pack’s job to protect you. And remind me to thank your wolf one day.” Rex planted a kiss on my cheek. “She will not forget.” “Good.” He pulled some hair behind my ears and still looked like he wanted to say something. Could he know? “Tomorrow morning, Rachel is going to take you with her to warrior training. I want you to learn how to defend yourself.” “I do.” Rex narrowed his eyes. “When was the last time you had some real training?” I sighed. “Fine.” “I thought so.” Rex moved me off his lap and stood holding out his hand for me to take. “Tomorrow morning, 8am sharp. Breakfast will be ready at seven.” I took his hand and he pulled me to my feet. “Now come on, it’s getting late and you should get some rest.” I held his hand the entire way up to my guest room and even let him open my door for me. I stood in the doorway, ready to close it, but Rex couldn’t stop staring at me. His eyes were flickering from his chocolate brown to black. His wolf was fighting for control. “Rex.” He slid both his hands onto my cheeks and ran his thumbs under my eyes. My knees wobbled and I could feel my arousal. Rex growled. “Alina, baby, you have to stop that.” I inhaled his amazing pine scent and pulled him into the room. He kicked the door shut. “Levi, he wants to come out.” I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled his forehead to mine. “Can’t let that happen.” “You’re mine first!” Rex whispered. Kiss him you fool! Kiiya barked in my head. I smashed my lips onto his. Lightning struck and sent tingles all the way down to my toes. Our mouths molded together and we were in sync. I involuntarily moaned against him. Rex rumbled in his throat and I could feel his hard member rub against me. “Rex..” I mumbled against his lips. “Shhh, don’t talk.” “Rex. We should go to sleep.” I tried to take a step back, but he just pulled me back to him. Rex tightened his grip on my waist and lifted me up. He spun me around in a circle making me giggle. “I never want to let you go.” He murmured. “Let’s go to sleep. You said it yourself. I need rest.” Rex pouted and tossed me onto the bed. “Fineeeee.”
