CHAPTER TWELVE My head whipped this way and that as I tried to figure out where I was. It looked an awful lot like Grandpa’s room, except that there was no one in it aside from myself. Much of the furniture looked the same, except newer, with few of the scratches and dents that I remembered them having. The carpeting, wallpaper, and curtains all looked new as well as if the room had just been finished yesterday. It felt hotter than normal, though, as if there wasn’t any air conditioning on in here.
