Chapter 1 ( one)

Chapter 1

Culture and traditions have destroyed my whole life. All my life on earth in a kingdom, not even allowed to pass the bound lines of the kingdom and see on the outside. I had been preparing and waiting for this day to come. I was taught the culture and tradition all my life in order to inherit my birthright (throne) when my father died. My mother, Queen Anastasia, and the King, Capello, doesn't even care about my future, my life and my dreams. All they care about are the stupid culture and Traditions King Capello inherited from his father, King Angeles. (King Capello inherited all his culture and tradition from his late father)

"Prince Austin your coronation is in the next five days and you must marry beautiful princess from Bermuda kingdom, Princess Feeonia. Either by force, or by ease," said King Capello

"Is that a threat, dad?" Prince Austin asked.

He quickly slammed the door and walked out.

My parents constantly insist that I must marry that princess. A Princess as dark as my black shoes, doesn't even have manners when we are at the dinner table and a princess that doesn't even have any etiquette at all. Our tradition demands that if I don't get married to a princess I will have to give up my birthright and my brother Jason will ascend the throne. While going downstairs I heard a sound. I quickly ran downstairs to see who it was.

"Mermaid!" I called her name."What are you doing here?" I asked."I am here to see you, my love, I miss you so much." She replied

"Guards! Arrest her!" Queen Anastasia commanded

"Did you remember our woman to woman conversation about my son?" The Queen asked. "Yes, your majesty." Mermaid answer

"I HAVE warned you several times never to set your foot in this kingdom,

DO NOT LET THIS REPEAT IT SELF AGAIN OR YOU WILL BEAR THE WRATH OF MY ANGER!!!" Queen Anastasia then walked off with vextation on her face.

I will miss you," I said, hugging Mermaid tightly. I was not supposed to, but I didn't even care because I am not sure that I'll see her again.

"Your horse is outside,"I said, as I walked away, handing her a letter. Not knowing that my father, King Capello, was watching me from the balcony.

What are you doing? What was on that piece of paper you gave to mermaid?" My dad asked

"Nothing ,Dad ," I replied. He grumbled a few words.

"Do you want to go fishing with my nephew?"

"Yes,dad"

"Okay,son, lovely"

As my dad Nephew Joseph and I journey to the river. I got a chance to ride in a car. The seats were padded and the car smells like they had just bought it. The car was the fastest car in the world .

We both jogged down the river road, as I look to my left, I saw the letter I gave mermaid. The letter tells her when the ceremony is and how to dress, to stop me from getting married to that stupid fool, Feeonia. I wondered to myself, is mermaid dead? No, she can't be. I picked up the letter and placed it in my pocket, as my cousin and I continued what we came to the river for.

The river was as beautiful as my kingdom , lovely coconut trees swaying from left to right and lovely animals. I said to myself, is this what my father and my mother are keeping me from, keeping me locked up like a prisoner in my own kingdom soon to become King . Now I can really see what outside of my kingdom really looks like.
