Beyond Alpha's Mate Bond

Chapter 5

Eva’s POV

I came to my room with a thumping heart. His closeness really affects me. When he asked me ‘do I affect you', I didn’t know how to reply. I thought about saying no but I was sure he could see his affect on me. So I went with the truth.

I had a crush on him. And apart from my mate my heart fluttered only for this man. He has become so handsome and him standing so close to me only in towel.. agh I felt heat rushing to my cheeks just at the thought. I took deep breaths to calm my heart and decided not to think about it.

I did my morning routine and took a quick shower. I wore a green dress which reached just below my knees. Luna Elena ( Luna of Moonlight pack ) had bought some clothes for me.

This is the first time I am wearing a beautiful dress except my wedding gown. Otherwise all my life I only wore maid's uniform and for school I wore old clothes of Alpha's daughter Shanaya. Well I never had problems with those clothes. I left my hairs open so that they can air dry.

I came out of the room and made my way downstairs. Yesterday Luna Sarah gave me a tour of this house. It is very beautiful mansion with modern interior.

It’s very big with five bedrooms, dining room, one living room, kitchen, cinema room and gym. It also have one library and pool. There was a room which was locked and Luna informed me that it is his office. Besides this the mansion is surrounded by a beautiful garden. Looks like Alpha Dylan loves nature. Well all the wolves love it.

I still have some time before going to his office so I made my way to kitchen. There is no one here.

I made sandwiches and started eating. A tear left from my eyes thinking about the kind of life I will have in this pack. Will it be better than the life in moon light pack or worse. At least for now I feel it’s going to be later one. I got up as I was not able to eat anymore and cleaned the dishes.

I started walking in his office's direction as I don’t want to be late. I knocked on the door and went inside when I heard him say come in. I saw him sitting on a chair behind the desk, reading some papers without paying attention to me.

I was looking at his handsome face. He is wearing a white shirt. His hairs looks messy. He is focused on the content of the papers.

Its been almost ten minutes I am standing here but he has not acknowledged my presence yet. If he was just going to make me stand here then why did he called me here. But since the view is very good I have no problem in staying here like this.

While admiring him I remembered the time when I used to go to Alpha training school just to watch him from afar.

“hope you enjoyed staring at me” I came out of my thoughts with his deep voice. Indeed I enjoyed. I lowered my face due to embarrassment. I am sure my face must have turned a shade of red.

“Why did you call me here?” I asked to change the topic. “sit” he said to me gesturing towards the chair in front of him. I sat down waiting for him to tell me what he wants.

“ what's your name?” he asked me. I felt a pang in my heart at his question. We are married and he didn’t even know my name.

“Eva” I said hiding the pain I felt. “Let’s get to the point, even though I don’t want you in my life I can’t change the fact that you are Luna of this pack. As a Luna along with power you have many responsibilities towards the pack” he said.

I nodded my head in understanding. I know it is a position with a lot of responsibility.

“But knowing the fact that you are an omega I am guessing you don’t know much about your duties” he said to which I nodded again. He sighed.

“ From tomorrow onwards you will have your training” he said. I frowned and asked “what training?”.

“So from tomorrow onwards you will have to train yourself to fight. As a Luna you should at least know how to fight. You will report to training grounds at six in the morning everyday. No excuses for being late or missing training will be accepted” he said and stopped.

“Okay I will” I replied. I am kind of excited to learn fighting. I always wanted to learn fighting and help my pack in case of need. I used to admire warriors practicing in the training field.

“ After training you can freshen up and do whatever you want. In Afternoon after lunch you will have training to become perfect Luna where you will learn all of your duties and work and how you will be doing them as Luna of the pack” he said and waited for my reply.

“Okay” I replied.

“After training you will resolve the problems faced by pack members but before taking any major decisions which might affect our pack you will discuss it with me or my beta Max. You have to make sure no pack member is having any kind of problem. You will make daily reports about the members problem and solutions you have given. And submit one final summarized report to me every Saturday”. he said.

“Okay I will but do I have to visit each house every day?” I asked not knowing how am I supposed to know everyone’s problems.

“No you don’t. We have a grievance room for this very purpose. The pack members having trouble will come there and those who can’t they send complaint letters. You will read all letters without fail. I don’t want pack member's problem getting neglected” he clarified my doubt.

I nodded my head in understanding.

“Always verify the facts before taking decision, and if you think you can’t solve their problems then contact Max. More importantly I don’t want you to slack off. If I get even a single complaint about you being lazy then you will be punished” he said.

I gulped and nodded hesitantly. I am nervous how am I supposed to do all this. As if he read my mind he said “ how you will do it is completely your responsibility but if you make mistakes I won’t hesitate to punish you and teach you a lesson”. He voice is cold and stern.

“other than these thing you will have to do whatever you are told to whenever need arises. In your free time read as much as books from library, you can read about our pack. You should know history and rules and regulations of this pack” he added.

“ Okay I will read them” I said. “ Any doubts?” He asked me. “no” I replied.

“ now let’s talk about other important things. Firstly, you will not enter my room or office without my permission”

“I don’t want to see you doing misuse of your authority and ordering others. Always remember if I can make you my Luna I can also remove you at any time”

“You will do all your work yourself. I told the maids to just clean this house only and do nothing. You will be doing all other work like cooking your meals and other things. I already told you that you won’t leave as a princess here” he said.

I don’t have any problems in doing my work but I am wondering how much he hates me. His eyes are cold and his voice is emotionless.

“Lastly you will not use my money for your greed. Before using it you will ask me” he said while placing a card on the table. Why is he even giving it to me when I can’t use it.

“I am giving it to you for emergency situations only” he said as if he could see what I am thinking. Am I that easy to read I thought.

I nodded my head as I have no other choice while taking the card. “You can leave and take a tour of the pack” he commanded.

I got up from the chair. I bowed and left his office.

Once outside of his office I felt my eyes sting with tears. I don’t know why I let myself get hurt by his words.

My whole life I have been insulted by others but no one have this effect on me. None of their words hurt me in a way his words are hurting. Even when they called me by cheap name it didn’t matter to me. But when he thinks of me as gold digger who is after his money It hurts.

I have this urge to prove myself. I want to tell him that I am not a gold digger, that I don’t need anything from him, that I just like him. But I won’t. He won’t believe me.

I don’t know how am I going to live here with a person who only looks at me with hatred whereas my heart beats crazily for him.

I made my way to pack house. Alpha Dylan told me to have a tour of the pack so I thought I should start with pack house which is at ten minutes distance from his house. Luna told me that Alpha likes his privacy that is why he doesn’t live in pack house.

I entered the pack house and felt people's gaze on me. Many were glaring at me while some people were smiling at me. I returned their smile with one of my own. But I can’t do anything about glares.

I clearly understand why they hate me. Who would want an Omega as their Luna, especially when I am not even their Alpha's fated mate.

I asked one of the maid about Luna Sarah's room and she told me the direction. I thanked her and made my way to her room. I should ask her about some details regarding pack.

On my way I saw a man sitting on the couch in living room. His right hand have wound and he is struggling to bandage it with left hand. I couldn’t stop myself and I asked him “do you need help?”.

He raised his eyes to look at me. First thing that came in my mind is he is handsome. He have dark brown hairs and forest green eyes he is wearing a black shirt on his muscular build.

“ I would be glad if you will” he replied in his deep voice. I made my way to him and sat in front of him on the floor. I started tending his wound. It is a very deep cut he must be hurting a lot. I felt his eyes on me.

“Why didn’t you heal yet?” I asked him to reduce the awkward silent. Usually wolves get healed fast but his wound doesn’t looks like it’s healing. “ I just got hurt some time ago and as you can see it’s deep cut so it will take some time but I will be fine till evening” he replied.

“ you should have gone to hospital” I said. “ yeah I know but I have to meet ex Alpha Justin first” he replied and I nodded. “How did you got hurt?” I asked him.

“Rough attack” he replied. I got up when I was done tending his wound. “ thank you, it was difficult for me to do it with my left hand” he said to me with a smile resulting a dimple to form on his cheeks. He looks more handsome with a smile.

“you are welcome” I replied with a smile. I was about to leave when his voice stopped me “ what’s your name?”

“Eva and yours?”

“Aron Black” he said. “See you around” he added with a smile. I nodded my head and left.

I wish Alpha Dylan could look at me with soft eyes and smile at me like this. But it is just a dream which will never come true. I know better than to live in fantasy.

His eyes will always look at me with hatred. I wonder if things will change when he finds about the curse, the actual reason behind our marriage.

Will he forgive me for marryng him. But no I can’t tell him, just as mom said its going to break his heart when he will find out that his own mate left because …..

And I can’t see him hurt. I would rather get hurt then to hurt the person I have crush on for half of my life.
