“It isn’t fun to break one’s heart whether it is literally or metaphorically. But thank you for letting me know.”I say as I pull back my hand. Coldness remains on the area where Sliver touched. To drive it away, I rub my hand in the sleeves. Then I look at Sliver and announce, “Therefore, if breaking your heart is the only way to kill a vampire, I am not going to do so.”
“You’re not going to or you’re not capable?”He asks in a challenging tone.
The sharpness in his question catches me off guard and I just don’t know how to reply. I don’t want to be seen as a soft person but at the same time I don’t want to harm innocent people. I am still pondering on the question when Sliver smiles and chants, “Ah, no bother to explain. I just caught your thoughts.”
