Aloida somewhat embarrassed for being reprimanded, glanced at Lexandro and nodded. “Sorry. I know the office rules about that, it will not happen again,” she replied after a while. Her tone was low. She never thought that Lexandro would remind her of that.
Lexandro did not reply, nor glanced at her when he heard her reply. He continued to drive as if he did not hear what she said.
They were silent the whole time until they reached the favorite Italian restaurant of Lexandro, which was a few kilometers away from the office.
“We are here. Let’s go?” Lexandro immediately reached for the seatbelt buckle of Alodia and removed it, to the latter’s surprise. She did not expect him to do that since she could do it by herself.
“Thank you,” she said and unintentionally reached for his hand.
