DAY 14 HOW THEY SETTLED THE MATTER OF MY DEATH I woke up with a totally clear head. It was normal considering that I had slept three days during the last three and a half days. My own guardian angel was near the front door of the hut, lying on some skins and sleeping. I tried not to make any noise so I wouldn’t wake him. My watch was in a pile with the rest of my things. I extended my neck to be able to see it better. It was seven thirty in the morning and outside it was drizzling. According to the watch I had been in the shed for four days.
