Seeing the document handed to him, Eric quickly pushed Hailey's hand away.
Hesitantly, he took it. What met his eyes was a divorce agreement.

He suddenly remembered when he had accidentally seen Evelyn checking a divorce agreement on her phone. She had acted strangely at the time, saying her lawyer friend was just asking for her opinion.
But now it was obviously this same document.
The lawyer adjusted his glasses. "Mr. Jones, Ms. Miller has included evidence of your affair along with her request for a quick divorce. From a professional standpoint, I recommend you sign the agreement. Going to court will only make things messier."
