The fire in your eyes. Part two.

Sharp rocks resembled the back of the long – dead dragon, were already in every corner of Draken’s rich imagination. They were like a thousand daggers, the edges of these rocks cut the hot air into pieces. It was unbearable to keep going in their warm boots. Thirst, fatigue, everything fell on them. But this did not stop him. After all, the secret that was in Blaze’s mind did not give them rest. Their secret was forcing them to go forward. To the very center of the bloodthirsty dragons.   When Leiandros reached the first sharp rock, he took off his backpack and said, “Leave all things. You should only take the bottles with water.”   Throwing all the things inside the small cave, they moved on.   The incomprehensible color of the sky finally welcomed the colors of the night. Leiandros gripped his sword tightly as he was ready for battle. Walking close to Draken he asked, “Where is your sword?”   “In my house.”   “How can a soldier go without his sword? Do you even know that you are breaking the rule of the clan? I don’t know why Raghnall accepted you.”   “I don’t need a sword. I have a mind and a heart. They will save me.”   Leiandros nervously smiled but stopped. Then he took out a small knife from his pocket and gave it to Draken. “At least take this. You can not rely on your mind and heart. You know, sometimes they can betray.”   Pushing his hand away Draken wanted to say something but then something happened, some kind of a force pushed them and before they could recover, they already were lying on the opposite sides of the rocks. Draken hitting his head against the stone, felt a severe pain. He wanted to get up but fell back. It was hard to move. All he could say was the name. “Leiandros.” Gathering his strength, he sat up and reached out to his right leg. Luckily, it wasn’t broken but it was wounded. Several fragments of sharp stones, tearing the skin, were deep into his thigh. Trying to pull them out, Draken involuntarily shouted and then Leiandros’ voice was heard.   “Draken where are you?”   “Leiandros! Leiandros!”   “I’ll find you. Are you okay? Are you injured?”   “I am fine.”   Feeling severe pain in his leg, he mustered all his will, slightly opening the wound, he was able to get one of the sharp stones out of the wound.   Waved of sweat washed over him and the weakness in his body told him that a little more and he would fall into a swoon. “Hold on.” This was the last thing he said to himself before the dragon spread his wings over him.   The fiery breath enveloped him from all sides. And the next, a loud, piercing scream sounded so close to him that he fell back to the ground. Looking at him, the dragon flapped his wings and directed the claws towards him. His gaze which was full of anger and destruction made Draken shiver. Grasping the stones around of him, he slowly tried to get up, but the dragon, releasing several sparks of fire, left a weak burn on Draken’s arm. He couldn’t hold back the cry of pain. He managed to take out the knife and he whispered, “Why you are so angry?” Examining him, the dragon was staring intently into his eyes. And it was obvious that this dragon possessed a high intellect that gave him wisdom, but the power that was in his body turned him into a dangerous creature.   Draken staring into the bright yellow eyes, tried to follow the lead of the mind and heart. So he said, “How beautiful you are. If you weren’t so dangerous, you could be drawn for the illustrations of books.”   The dragon as if understanding him, lowered his head. The burning breath was unbearable.   “I know you are angry. We disturbed your peace and your brothers’ sleep. But we don’t want to hurt you. We are here because we need your breath.”   With a loud roar, the dragon opened his mouth.   Without wasting a suitable minute, Draken remembered that there were some stones in his pockets.   Holding one oval shaped stone in his hand, he quickly pressed on it and the stone split in two. Reaching out his hand closer to dragon’s face, he said, “Just breath and then I’ll leave.”   Swinging his wings once more, thereby causing the strong wind, the dragon screamed and just at that moment the burning breath full of sparks completely covered Draken. Feeling that he is about to lose his consciousness, he covered his face with his other hand.   The stone in his hand was shaking and becoming hotter.   “One dragon stone is ready,” Draken whispered and smiled. The next moment the fire filled everything around and Draken lost his consciousness.   Not knowing how long he was there, Draken opened his eyes. It was already dark. Only the rocks emitted some sparks of fire.   He got up and noticed Leiandros next to him.   “When did you come?”   “When you were so stupid and brave with an outstretched hand in front of the dragon.”   “Let me guess, you chased him away?”   “You are lucky that you escaped his rage with minor burns.”   Just noticing that there were some little wounds on his arm, he touched his face and then said, “And once again you saved me.”   “And once again you acted stupidly. Here, you should drink water,” Leiandros said holding out his flask.   Studying Leiandros from head to toe and not noticing a single scratch, Draken broke into laughter.   “What?”   “How do you manage to stay untouched? The dragon almost attacked you and look, you have not a single scratch.”   “If you are fine, then let’s go. I found the cave.”   It is easy to describe the colors of the nature. All that is needed is a good observation. You can describe the beauty of the nature for the whole eternity. But in this world, in this wilderness, nature can be described only in two words: blizzard and ice.   At the tops of the three mountains, at the foot of these mountains, everywhere, there is only blizzard. The blizzard that carries away everyone’s thoughts.   Draken, thinking about nature, about beauty, often asked himself the question: What if there, somewhere very far away, exists the world with magic, with Sun and with poetry? This question was always in his mind. And even the blizzard couldn’t take it away from him. Sitting by the newly lit fire, Draken fell into his thoughts again. Into his dreams. The bright light of the flame was covering his long hair. Feeling the pain in his wound, he knew that he must remove all the stones, but he was in no hurry. Before his eyes, he still could see the eyes of the dragon.   “Let me take a look. Your wound is bleeding,” Leiandros said.   Draken didn’t say anything. He just lifted his trouser leg and several sharp stones in his wound were visible to the n***d eyes.   “Why are you silent? Doesn’t it hurt?” Leiandros asked and took out a small knife. “Well, let me help you.”   After holding the knife over fire, Leiandros began to gently but quickly pull out the stones from the wound. Waves of sweat covered Draken’s forehead. It was painful but he didn’t make a sound.   After pulling out the last stone Leiandros tore his sleeve and wrapped it around Draken’s leg. “I hope it will heal soon.”   “Thank you.”   Draken took a few sips of cold water and finally fell asleep.   But Leiandros didn’t close his eyes. He was staring at Draken. And thus, he stopped the passage of time. In the sky one star, for a small fraction of a second could be seen but then it disappeared again.
