Savior. Part two.

655 Words
“Savior? Silver, I should clarify something. I didn’t kill that beast. I just squeezed out its eyes and that’s it. The one who killed it was my teacher.”   Silver only smiled. “It is you, my savior. Because of you I could survive and it was you who disturbed the beast from killing me. I saw your face there on the Battlefield. You looked so angry that for a moment I thought that I mean something to you. It doesn’t matter Draken, I mean who actually saved me. But what is more important to me is that you helped me to survive and stay alive. And you risked your life. For me.”   “But still, it is unfair. You and other warriors kill hundreds of beasts but I just squeezed out the beast’s eyes. So why, all of a sudden, did I become a hero?”   “I wonder why you still don’t know about what is the most important thing in this world.” Draken stepped closer to him and whispered, “The most important thing is self – sacrifice in the name of bravery. You almost sacrificed yourself, and that is enough to call you a hero.”   Draken, because of these words, blushed a little.   “Alright, I won’t take your time. I should go back now. I bet my father is already beating every warrior of the clan.” Casting a strange glance at him, Silver turned around and left Draken behind.   After the heroism of Draken, in the First clan everyone was talking about him and of course it led to the creation of many rumors.   But no matter how hard he tried to object, everyone just ignored him.   What is the relationship between him and Silver? When did they have time to become good friends? These questions were bothering each soldier and this was bothering Draken to much.   He was mad. But mostly, he was mad because he couldn’t find Leiandros. He was nowhere to be found. It was like he just evaporated.   Unable to endure this anymore, he went straight to Raghnall and to his surprise, he wasn’t alone. The Head of the Third clan and Silver were there too. This was a good moment to clarify things, so Draken decided not to waste the moment so he, without any ceremony said, “What happened on that Battlefield, yes, was indeed very scary experience. Yes, I found Silver and he was bleeding. I helped him. Maybe I helped him to survive. And yes, I saw the beast. I attacked it. I squeezed out its eyes and then it tried to kill me. In that moment, teacher Leiandros killed the beast from behind. And that’s how it was. So, could you please stop acting like I saved the whole world from all these beasts. I just don’t feel good. Once, my father told me that no matter what, you should always be honest with others. So I don’t to be a hero just because of one beast. Master Raghnall, Master Sirius, my apologies,” saying this, Draken bowed in front of them.   For a few seconds everyone was silent. But then Sirius said, “You have saved my son so according to my clan’s rule I must reward you. You don’t want fame, you don’t want to be a hero then what do you want?”   Draken was about to answer but Silver interrupted him. “Father, I think I should reward him myself.” He looked at Draken and cunningly smiled. “He is my savior so I think it’ll be better if I reward him.”   Sirius nodded his head. Turning towards Raghnall he said, “Young men understand each other better.” He tried to show his kind emotions but he failed so he continued, “Draken, I will never forget your kind action. So if you need anything just tell me.”
