Enemy. Part one.

“Where are you rushing like that? Can you please explain to me what is happening?” Draken shouted still following Leiandros.   Leiandros stopped and said, “Just follow me. We need to go somewhere and it is important.”   Standing one meter away from him, Draken was scared to come closer. “Leiandros I don’t understand you. What kind of man you are? Why are you behaving like that? What? You can’t even look at me?”   “Don’t make me angry Draken. It is not a proper time for talking.” Leiandros said and wanted to continue his way but Draken grabbed him by the hand. “Tell me where are we going.”   “I’ll tell you everything on our way,” Leiandros answered and releasing his hand, he quickly walked ahead.   Closing his face with his hands, he had nothing to do but follow him.   The snowstorm started its usual dance, covering everything with its cold hands. While walking ahead, Draken thought, “All these days without you, it was so calm. But here you are and the snowstorm is crazy again.”   Trying to follow him, Draken quickened his steps but the snowdrifts were too deep. It was hard to go faster.   Crashing into the stone which was under the snow Draken fell down. Feeling pain in his head, he saw a few drops of blood on the snow. He looked ahead but he didn’t see Leiandros anymore. “That is great! And why didn’t I stay with Silver!”   Covering his face with the scarf he stood up and suddenly felt someone’s hand on his shoulder. When he turned around, he saw a man in a black fur coat and black hat. His eyes were pale blue and over his left eye there was a deep scar. His nose and mouth were covered with a scarf. Looking at Draken for some seconds the man finally said, “Let me help you.”   “Let me go,” Draken said.   The man with pale blue eyes looked ahead as if he wanted to see something. “You must be Draken. Am I right?”   “Yes. And who are you?”   The man began to walk around him. Examining him from head to toe he clapped his hands.   Draken didn’t understand his intentions so he was ready to fight. “What are you looking at?” The man made a strange sound and then said, “Now I understand why Leiandros likes you. You are very handsome.”   Now, feeling absolutely angry Draken approached him. Looking right into his eyes he rudely said, “You better watch your tongue.”   The man clapped his hands again. He was smiling at him and Draken couldn’t hold himself any longer so he hit him right in the face.   “Insane!” Draken shouted and when he was about to kick him, Leiandros’ voice stopped him.   “Draken stop.”   Standing a few meters away from them he commandingly said, “Come here.”   Draken did as he said.   Noticing that Leiandros was holding his sword like he was ready to fight, Draken happily prepared himself to watch how he would smash him. The man covered his nose and said, “You are very strong. Leiandros, he is a real treasure. Handsome, strong, brave, he is just like you. Now I think I believe in the existence of soulmates. Indeed, he is your soulmate. Am I right Leiandros?”   Leiandros didn’t say anything.   “Don’t look at me like this. I know that we are still good friends. So why don’t you relax a little bit. Both of you.”   Approaching them, he took off his hat. Draken noticed that he had a short black hair.   Bowing slightly the man said, “I must present myself properly. My name is Blaze.” Addressing this to Draken he added, “Draken I am so happy to meet you. To meet you in the day light.”   Draken looked at Leiandros but he didn’t show any emotions.   So Draken replied, “Blaze, never heard about you.”   “But I heard about you. Actually, I heard about you many things. I know who is your father, I know who you are and I know why you are here. Draken, I even know your little secret.”   “What are you talking about? Can you be more understandable!”   Directing his cunning gaze towards Leiandros he said, “He is so handsome when he is angry.”   Feeling the upcoming anger, Draken grabbed Leiandros’ sword and the next moment the sharp point of the sword was reaching Blaze’s face. “Easy, easy! Don’t be like that. I am complimenting you but you are holding the sword in front of my face.”   “Who are you?” Draken asked lifting the sword higher. “Leiandros why are you standing like this? Do you know him? Answer me!”   “He knows me too well. Brother Leiandros, should I tell him?”   Leiandros only uttered, “Give back my sword.”   “What is happening here? Can someone explain to me?!”   Blaze went up to Leiandros and put his hand on his back. He whispered very quietly, “You should tell him.” Saying this he looked at Draken one more time and then disappeared into the blizzard.   The noise of the wind became louder. Trying to say something to Leiandros, Draken shouted but the whistling of the wind didn’t allow his voice to be heard. But then when the wind calmed down, Draken wanted to ask again but Leiandros said, “I am sorry. It is my fault.”   “What do you mean?”   Finally, he was able to look at him. His look was full of worries. “Blaze, he is the warrior of the Second clan.” He hesitated for a moment and clutched the hilt but then said, “Briefly, he saw us that night.”   “What do you mean?”   “He saw us, in that cave. When you came to the Battlefield. He saw everything what happened between us. I mean the kiss.”   “He saw us,” Draken quietly repeated. Thinking about it he asked, “What does he want now? Even if he saw us, what then?”   “Don’t you understand? Draken he saw us. He saw that we’ve been close. He saw our moment of weakness. Don’t you understand it? He is going to tell about this to everyone! And do you know what will happen then? To both of us. We will have to face each other on the battlefield. Only both of us and no one will leave the battlefield until he destroys the opponent. Draken do you hear me?”   Draken calmly said, “But this is ridiculous. We didn’t do anything bad. I bet everyone does this.”   “Are you stupid or what? What part didn’t you understand? Draken! Love is prohibited in this world! And the punishment for it is very cruel.”   “Love? You said love?” Draken broke into laughter. He couldn’t stop but next he felt a sudden pain in his nose. Leiandros hit him and shouted, “Stop it!”   “Leiandros don’t be ridiculous! What is between us?! I am sure it is not love! Punishment? Are you insane? I think it is you who don’t understand anything. I think this Blaze just tricked you.”   Kneeling down in front of him, Leiandros quietly said, “I am begging you. Draken please listen to me.”   Seeing him like this for the first time Draken didn’t know how to act. “I am begging you listen to me.”   Draken took his hand and kneeled down too. “Leiandros what are you doing? Stand up.” Trying to lift him he said, “Do you really that afraid of this man? Stand up now.”   Now, noticing that Leiandros was serious, Draken asked, “What you said, is it true?”   “It is true. What we were doing that night is prohibited.”   “What should we do now?”   “Do anything what he says in order to keep us both alive,” Leiandros replied.
