I must have slept off in a terrible position because now that consciousness is gently slipping in, I can feel the stiff pain around my neck.
With my eyes still shut, a yawn escapes my mouth. I feel tired, yet I feel a bit well-rested like I've been sleeping for days. The rumbling of my stomach makes me groan.
This is unusual. Adina would never let me sleep too much without waking me up to eat. Slowly, I try to force my eyes open so that I can go in search of food.
