Nobody came to my room again after Alpha Zegulf left. Within that brief moment of being alone, I checked for the possibility of escaping the room, and as I'd suspected, it was nil.
The windows are barricaded with protective bars, the door was locked from outside and even the bathroom window was barricaded.
I'm so confused and speechless. Juno's absence makes it worse. Why in the goddess's name can't I feel her? What's wrong?
I'm still battling internally when a knock comes on the door and a few seconds later, Alpha Zegulf pushes the door open. His presence makes me feel unsettled.
I quickly adjust and sink into the bed more. He waves his hands, shaking his head. "Don't do that, Xyana. I would never hurt you." He tells me. "Don't run away from me."
