For some reason unknown to me, I start by giving him a background rundown of my family and he listens attentively.
When I'm done, he flashes a smile and turns the tip of his face cap behind. Then he says; "I know a lot about your family before now." I arched my brow questionably and he shrugged. "We just wanted to know if there's a family member we need to seek consent from before our marking ceremony."
"There's none." I rush in.
"I know that now."
I then proceed to tell him the story about Juno. I repeat the things I told Declan. By the time I got to the end of the story and told him about my inability to shift for years until Alpha Kedar and also a clearer story about my rejection, I was actually struggling to keep my voice from breaking.
