12 After the shower, I cleaned the nasty scratch on my shoulder and checked the bump on the back of my head. It hurt to the touch, but I didn’t think it was more than that. I had faint marks around my neck too, but nothing a good concealer couldn't hide. I made myself a tea for pain and soothing and went to bed. I really needed a nap, not just because I was exhausted, but now also because I was hurting. But when I lay down in bed, I couldn’t sleep. My mind swirled with the idea that someone would enter my apartment and kill me while I was sleeping. Hell, even Killian could do that. But soon, the tea worked like magic and I dozed off.
