21 When I woke up early in the morning, Killian wasn’t in our suite. Where had he gone this early? And what about the sun? It was already up and climbing, and I still didn’t know if it could hurt him or not. I waited for a little while, but when he didn’t come, I ordered breakfast for myself. Beignets and chamomile tea—perfection. After breakfast, I checked myself in the mirror. I donned black leggings, a thin gray sweater, my leather jacket, my boots, and my dagger tucked inside.
