"Good morning, Miss Lydia." The workers greeted me warmly.
"Good morning," I responded with a smile.
I arrived at Josephs Liftx to relieve my father. I wore a light blue women's business suit and high heels. My hair was permitted to flow down my shoulders, making me appear like a boss lady.
"Miss Josephs, you're needed in the conference room," my secretary, Hannah Collins, told me. She then moved in closer and whispered, "All of the board members are here and they don't look happy."
I frowned. I knew why they wanted to see me. How bold of them to have their disapproval show on my first day of reporting.
"I was ready for this, I knew it would come to this," I said and smiled. They would not get rid of me that easily.
