My heart dropped to my feet when Frank's eyes closed. I panicked, my stomach churning with fear and worry. Was he dead? I gently shook him and whispered with a trembling voice. "F-Frank." Silence. "Frank. wake up, you're scaring me!" I screamed, my voice hoarse from the smoke I inhaled. I couldn't move because of the huge oak beam that had pinned both Frank and me to the ground. It was supposed to fall on me, but Frank put his body in such a position as to prevent that from happening and got injured instead. As I tried to move the beam, I felt warm liquid on Frank's back and my heart racing like a runaway horse, fear and dread creeping into me. He was bleeding heavily.  "Frank!"
