I smile proudly as Sam informs me of all that has been going on, on the phone. Isabelle has done better than I planned. She is fighting back.
I give Sam some brief instructions and then I end the call.

My heart aches badly as I try to relive all that happened, that day.

" Your highness," A guard snaps me out of my reverie.
I nod at him to speak further.
" His Majesty the King has summoned you." He says.
I try to hide my surprise. I have never been summoned after dinner.

I get up and throw on a coat around my nightdress, and follow him to the King's room
