Getting Matt to trust me was easy.
He was a textbook narcissist who thought the world revolved around him, so it was easy to convince him that every little harmless comment from his friends was actually a threat to him in disguise, and most things they did, actually had something to do with him.
It also helped that he had quite a temper because he acted quickly and violently and voila! He grew to trust me above all of them. None of his friends needed him like I did, so those fools stood no chance against me.
