Flabbergasted. That's what I felt when I hear Isabelle refuse. I thought we were on the same page. Out of the million things, I expected her to say, that wasn't even at the bottom.
" Why?" I ask, trying not to take offence. " Isn't that what you wanted?"
" True. But not anymore," She replies, calmly.
Frustration bubbles up inside me.
" Can I ask why?" I try very hard to stay calm, like her.
