Of course, Luke would be interested about everything that Katie was interested in. Besides knowing that, it would give Luke a chance to know more about Katie and to also make an effort to make sure that he could grant those interests of hers. Not to mention that Luke also liked arts and travelling. Knowing about some of Katie's interests already gave him an added insite that they shared their love of arts and travelling and in the near future, it means that they could go on more travelling together.
