The sacrifice

The horses drag the carriage with difficulty underneath the moonlight as the routes to the destination become thinner. It is generally speculated that the castle was named after the thick dark forest that ringed it. The scenery changed as the carriage screeched to a halt, from a valley of tall blackish trees to an eerie swamp-like pond. The water cascades through the dense forest, which is enclosed by ferns. The two generals exit the carriage and move ahead into the woods across the pond in seek of an appropriate hiding spot for the treasure, leaving the coachman behind. The coachman continued to remain motionless as the moonlight cast eerie shapes in the forested landscape and owls and toads adorned the dead silence with their mighty sound waves. Despite the horrific appearance, the moonlight on the pond water creates a breathtaking sight, as the water sparkles like diamonds. The men re-boarded the carriage and began unloading the wooden boxes, which they carried back to the trail from where they had arrive. They walk with ease as the moon's silver rays illuminate the path, providing them with a clear view of their surroundings. They eventually come to a halt near a tall tree, where they stack the final box with the others and begin digging a massive hole large enough to bury a dozen wooden crates containing gold, diamonds, jewelry, and other valuables. Excluding the sound of the shovel touching the ground and the men's pantings, there was an eerie silence. The men felt as if they were being watched as they took turns scanning the area. They carefully placed the crates on the soil bed after they finished digging up the hole. Without knowing what to expect, the victim began filling in the hole with soil, while the slayer fights the temptation to murder his fellow comrade. In the twilight, the horrifying scenic beauty was getting to bosom, indicating the predator that it was time. Without wasting any time, the killer-general with the royal order pulled out his dagger from one of his boots and stepped behind the victim-general, slicing open his throat with no despair in his eyes as the mercury red hot blood sprayed and splattered all over the wilderness, even adorning the killer's face and armor. The sun rays reflecting through the trees from the horizon hits on the killer, glimmering the freshly splattered blood. A cold wind picks up by, unnerving the slayer and making him repent his initiative and flee for his life after he pushed the corpse into the hole and entombed it along with the crates, crowning the dead man as the dominant guardian of the king's treasure. He could feel something pursuing him as he raced back to the clearing through the trail without looking back, and the thought of being watched returned to him. He comes to a halt near the pond, drenched in blood and sweat. He rushed into the carriage with a pale look after rinsing off the blood and sweat without leaving any trace. He shouts at the coachman, "Leave..." in a rough, muffled scream. The carriage immediately picked up speed and fled the now haunted terrain, regardless that a haunted spirit was hot on their tails, seeking vengeance. “ Hurry.....”
