Damion's POV
You don't care about her! She is a traitor! Whatever she does is none of your business!
I had to keep reminding myself that this woman had no layer of importance in my life. She was nothing more than an object to be used by me.
Just like the other women in my life, she was nothing special. The others were just s*x toys meant to quench my list whenever I wanted to, she was just a figure to show to everyone as my Luna.
The only women that I showed compassion towards were my mother and sister. I could kill for them anyday, anytime. They easiest way to mess with me was to try any attempt at harm to those two.
Other than that, affection bore no residence in my personality. All I knew was duty to my pack and making sure everyone else feared me.
I drowned my glass of root beer. I had taken a break to rewind from everything. Seated across from me was my Beta; Logan McGill.
He was my best friend for as long as I knew how to walk. His father and mine were close so we basically grew up together.
He was the only other person that I could have a conversation with about what was going on in my personal life.
He was just as tall as me with dull brown eyes that only lit up when he was about to smile. He had a great build.
We were two contrasting personalities. While he was the social and jovial one who made everyone smile wherever he went, I was the reserved friend who would rather kill a thousand men that show emotion.
Emotions make you weak and vulnerable. Those were two traits that I didn't wish to possess.
“Maybe you should ease up on her a little.”
I sighed. “What are you going on about?”
“I mean, I get you're ruthless but the way you spoke with her in public was just heartbreaking. I'm not surprised that she wants to get as far away from you as possible.”
“Not you too taking her side. Have you forgotten that she is my property and that I can do with her however I please?”
He had witnessed the incident with Mia earlier and wouldn't stop talking about it ever since.
“That I do not disagree with. But why do you have a problem with her leaving if she is just a house object to you? It's not like she is of any use for you around the house.”
“Xander will do everything in his power to sleep with her. I can't have that.”
“Why? You don't seem to have a problem with sleeping with other Alpha's Luna.”
“Don't blame me for that. They are the ones who offer their bodies to me. I don't go about begging for s*x like Xander.”
“Maybe if you had treated her a little better she wouldn't have seen the need to see comfort in another man’s arms.”
“Save your preachings, Logan. I asked you what to do about this situation. I didn't call you here to try and convince me into caring about women.”
Logan sighed. I knew he would keep on pressing about the matter if I hadn't put a stop to it.
“There is nothing to do. Just let the woman do what she wants. But if you're jealous about seeing her with another man, then treat her well and she'll stay faithful to you.”
I rolled my eyes. What was wrong with everyone calling me jealous? I didn't love her. Why would I get jealous?
“You're not helping,” I scolded.
“You said it yourself. No woman is special. You can change her with a snap of your finger. If at any point, you get tired you'll change her anyway. Besides, you don't usually have a problem when the women you sleep with do the same with others.”
“I'm not changing her for another two years. We signed an agreement, remember?”
“She is just going to work. If you don't want Xander trying to seduce her, then confront him and warn him to stay away from her.” He took a sip of his root beer. “If you don't care, then just let her be and go on with your affairs.”
Now he was talking. That was something great to do. I would do just that. I was going to ignore her until after it was time to carry out the plan I had in mind for her and her father.
“That is what I will do.”
“All you have to be bothered about is if she is actually going to impact his company and make him grow more than you.”
No one can be greater than me. “There is no way she knows her way around fashion. Xander just wants her to himself. He knows there is no miracle that can pull his company back up.”
“If you say so.”
“I guess we'll just wait and see.”
Speaking of Mia, I hadn't seen her all day. I had sent a guard earlier to go and fetch her for me but he still hadn't returned.
“Where the hell is this guard?”
Logan shrugged. He looked up and something behind me caught his attention. His next words were a whisper. “Speak off the devil.”
“Do you have a death wish, guess?!” I yelled. “I sent you to grab me Mia. Why haven't you come back with her.’
“Sir I have searched everywhere for her but I couldn't find her. I had to go to the gate and ask if they had seen her. The last time they saw her, she was in a car, getting out of the pack.”
What? “Was she alone?”
“No. Alpha Xander was with her.”
I slammed my hand on the table. “And none of you assholes thought that didn't look right.”
“They tried to stop the car. But Luna Mia told them to stand down that she had permission from you to move about freely.”
“And none of you cared to reach out to me and confirm? How much more useless could you be?”
I was restless. I began pacing my room. “I have had enough of Xander. Logan, coordinate the troops we are going to take over his pack!”
“You know that is not reasonable, Damion. I'm sure there is a reason she went with him and he is going to drop her off when they are done.”
“Am I stuttering?! Do as I asked!”
“Calm down, Damion. She is going to show up. If she doesn't show up before evening, I'm sending a troop over to his pack.”
“Xander had captured my Luna. He's going to regret messing with me.”
