How dumb of me to think that staying back was the best choice in this situation. You can't blame me for choosing to think that way. After all, I had just gotten on his bad side.
Sticking around would have surely warmed his heart.
But watching those tattered buds grind wistfully, I was assured that the only thing getting warm was his appetite. And there he was, the perfect man, just eating under debris.
As fear-induced demand dictated, I moved back. “What is going on, Alpha Damion?”
