New Found Mates ~ Braya's POV

I can hear my father thanking everyone for coming to celebrate his children's 18th birthday with him and my mother and how they have been truly blessed to have such wonderful children. I had to giggle at that part because he definitely wasn't thinking that an hour ago, at least for one of us anyway.

I had asked if they would call Brier's name first because she has always been called last when we are introduced in a formal event plus I want Beckett to have to sweat just a little longer even though Azzlynn thinks it's a mistake. As her name was called and she walked across the stage, I heard her say MATE and saw her run into the awaiting crowd of guests into the arms of Finn the Fae Prince. That means she will be leaving for the Fae realm.

Beau is introduced next, and my heart breaks for him because he doesn't say mate. I'm sure he is planning on taking a trip to Perigot Lake very soon.

"Now, with great pride, let me introduce the future queen of all Shifters and future queen of the Vampire's Braya Ryan Wyatt."

I walk out onto the stage and sniff, and Beckett is running through the crowd, almost knocking down my sister and Finn to get to me.

"MINE." he is yelling. I'm thinking that Mars, his wolf, has taken control, but I can't really tell since his nose is in my neck smelling my scent.

"Mate," Azzlynn and I say together. My parents are beaming with joy that now at least two of their children have found their other half.

Finally looking out into the crowd of guests, I see Quinn in Eli's arms, and Matthew has Anna in his arms as well. I guess we really are merging our packs and coven together. You can see some happy faces and some disappointed faces in the crowd, but we don't have control over who our mate or beloved happens to be that is Grandma Selene's department.

My parents tap Beckett on his shoulder and cleared their throats letting him know that they would like to give me a hug and I think he is realizing we are still on the stage in front of all the guests. I see Quinn and Matthew fist bumping each other laughing at their Alpha. He is just too cute.

I finally hug my parents, followed by my grandparents, and they inform the guest that dinner will be served shortly. Beckett hasn't let go of my hand this whole time, and the sparks from us being mates are intense. We had always been taught about the mating sparks, but until you experienced it first hand, what they have taught us doesn't do it justice.

Beckett and I follow my parents and grandparents to the round tables set up for dinner. They've added room for Finn, Anna, and Eli because everyone else was already designed to be sitting at our table, including Beckett's parents, Brielle, and Bryce. We have always been close friends with them as well as our parents because they are the closest pack to our territory. This will definitely make things easier for us in the long run when it's time to take over, at least for me. I have to be in my territory, so we need to figure out some things on how this is going to work.

Beckett finally says, " WOW, you look absolutely gorgeous in your dress. Thank the Goddess you are, my mate. I have been praying to her to be your mate since the first time you jumped out of that pine tree when we were 5."

I just started giggling and replied," So have I. I wanted to ask you so many times your thoughts on being mated to a hybrid, but I would chicken out because we never talked about that subject."

"Secret crush," We said at the same time, and the table burts out in laughter.

"Beckett went around telling everyone he was going to marry one Braya Ryan Wyatt to anyone that would listen, but we sat him down and explained what mates were, and boy was he mad." Brielle said laughing.

"He's been praying ever since," Bryce added.

"That boy would walk around with hearts in his eyes like a cartoon character when someone would mention your name." Quinn said just long enough to stop kissing Eli. Well, let's make this official then I'm thinking.

I stand up, and Beckett stands as well, and I say, " I Braya Ryan Wyatt future queen of the shifters, vampires and of Sapphire Lake Royal Pack and Coven officially accept Alpha Beckett Lee Harrison of the Silver Moon Pack as my mate and future king." I said.

Beckett says, " I Beckett Lee Harrison officially accept Braya Ryan Wyatt of the Sapphire Lake Royal Pack and Coven as my mate and Luna."

Fireworks start going off, and a letter floats down on the table.

"Stop praying that you are mates now. I'm a busy Goddess, but I'm watching always watching, and the letter disappeared after we read it." We both chuckle at my Grandma Selene.

My Grandma and Grandpa gave me a nod, letting me know my request had been completed. I grab Beckett's hand and teleport to my room to get my bag. We teleport to his room at the pack house to get a bag that had been prepared for him and finally we teleport to the US Virgin Island in the Caribbean which is a private island I had ask for for my birthday from my grandparents. This was my surprise for Beckett. I guess I should have warned him because he looks a little shocked.

I've never teleported him anywhere, so it can be a little unsettling to be in one place and the poof you are on a beach.

" WOW, that was a rush, and I will definitely have to get used to that." Beckett says, swaying a little because of him being disoriented. I gave him a few minutes to recover before we walk in to open concept style house. It is still being built, but I thought we could design what was really important to us later. For now, we just really need a bedroom and bathroom.

There had been food already teleported there in the kitchen so we won't be leaving until we are ready. We alway can let Mars and Azzlynn free to run together for the first time as mates since we are the only ones here.

I look at Beckett, and I can tell he is a little nervous, as am I. He's never had a girlfriend or a fling. I know he's never kisses anyone. Our little group of friends wanted all our firsts to be with our other half, so unless we were in a group together, we never even been on a date with just him and I.

I walk into the kitchen and grab us a couple of sodas from the fridge. I see that there's some Chinese food containers on the counter with some chop sticks for use to use. I find a blanket set up with pillows on the ground so we can have a little picnic. I'm hoping this will help us not be so nervous. I give him a container of his spicy chicken and shrimp, and he smiles. I picked the one that is the special chow mein with pan-fried noodles that have BBQ pork, chicken, and shrimp. Every time we would go out as a group, this is what I would get along with pork fried rice and Mar far chicken. The hot mustard and the sesame seeds are a must, and so is the pink sauce. We also have beef and broccoli and 3 orders of BBQ pork.

Beckett and I are trying to eat, and with every bite I take the hotter, I seem to become. I get up to go get another soda for the two of us and stand up and immediately double over in pain. Beckett starts sniffing the air, and Mars is trying to gain control. Beckett's eye has turned huge in surprise because he has realized I'm going into heat. Neither one of us had been prepared for this, and we haven't even talked about having pups or anything of that kind of nature.

Grandma Selene is just fast tracking us into mating, and we haven't even finished dinner. Beckett scoops me up into his arms bridal style, searching for a room that has a bed and a bathroom. He finds the only room complete, and we were shocked to what was inside. The room has a huge four-poster bed against one wall with a glass ceiling so we can see the moon and stars twinkling above us. There are candles that have been lit everywhere and rose petals on the floor and the bed. The glass doors along the one wall have been opened, and you could hear the sounds of the ocean gently hitting the sandy beach.

He gently placed me on the bed and said, " I know this isn't how either of us had planned this, but I really need to be with you, Braya. I have only loved one girl my whole life, and she is you. I love you, Braya Ryan, and I'm glad you're finally going to be mine."

He slowly takes off his tux and is helping me out of my dress from the ball. He growls his approval when he sees me in my thong and matching bra set. He bends down, and he gives me my first kiss, licking the seams of my lip so his tongue can go into my mouth.
