"What do you mean by an attack? Did someone enter your pack?" Theia's skin was pale as she looked at me with a haunted expression.
This couldn't have happened at a worse time. She had finally started to lower her guard since joining the pack. She had almost smiled when the lake waters caressed her feet. The breeze blew through her silky hair, and the sunlight reflecting off her skin made her shine like a golden goddess.
I just stood there, stunned by her breathtaking beauty.
And then I had to ruin everything, dragging her further into the lake until fear overtook her. I just wanted to make her happy, but I did the complete opposite.
Her expression mirrored the same horror-stricken look I had seen nine years ago, the day we invaded her pack.
