Ryiah slowly opened her eyes blinking trying to adjust her eyesight to the brightness of the room and frowned when she looked around. Ryiah didn’t recognize the place and with some effort, she pulled herself to sit, letting out a groan when a dull pain shot up from her leg. Doubling over Ryiah grit her teeth while holding her thigh, waiting for the pain to go away and when it did, she let out a shaky breath, pulling the blanket aside to look at the leg.
Seeing bandages on her leg, Ryiah’s frown deepened even more and a troubling question popped in her mind. How she had gotten here? Who had stripped her half-naked and tented to her leg?
A sudden flashback of running through a dark corridor when something sharp hit her made her shake her head while biting her lower lip.
